Went last night. I don’t know if the staff are underpaid, but they are clearly overworked and understaffed. So much that woman who took my order couldn’t do it comfortably without having to tend to other duties while taking my order.
The woman taking the order was extremely rude, unhelpful,, could not tell me what meats they had available at the moment and pointed me to a menu off to the side while staring at me with a negative energy I can fell through my whole body. As if I was not providing income to her and the establishment, a customer.
She also force me to order in Spanish which obviously was not my first language once she heard me speak.
On top of that, for three tacos, I got hardly any jalapenos and a lemon so small, just look at my picture.
For $2.50 a taco, for such small tacos, and such a negative experience, it is simply not worth the price.
The food was good but after such a negative customer service experience, you don’t even want to eat the food, because your angry and upset.
Never coming to this taco stand or any Grullense ever again.
Nonetheless I gave a couple dollar tip. The way they were being worked and probably underpaid, they obviously needed it more than I did

This place is an hit or miss. Ordered asada tacos with extra hot sauce and received no sauce on the tacos whatsoever. Not the first time this has happened.

I stumbled across El Grullito and left seriously impressed.
The food was packed with flavor—one of the best burritos I’ve had in town, hands down.
You can eat outside, which is perfect, and there’s plenty of parking.
Bonus points for being conveniently located right across from the bowling alley.
Everything about this spot hits the mark. I’ll definitely be back!

Food is hit-and-miss. I’d say 3 out of 5 times things look presentable … Other times it looks like somebody shook up the container.
I’ve only had one experience with a cashier that didn’t have an attitude. And the people at the pickup window are pretty rude too. If I order two different items or two different plates of food it shouldn’t be a problem to give two lol bags of lime carrots radish and jalapenos. But every single time I have to ask, and then I get full-on attitude from the employee who hands the food out. And God forbid I order My salsa on the side… So I can eat my tacos later at my lunch time without them being all soggy… Because it seems to be a real big problem for them to give you 1 side of red and 1 of green salsa.. even if you order four tacos of two different meats.
This place could be so much better if there was just a little bit better customer service.

This place is my go to spot for tacos in Stockton. Went once and fell in love with the food, customer service and prices. The meat is flavorful and the salsas are so delicious. There is some benches to sit and eat outside and it’s the perfect date. I will continue to go every time I’m in Stockton

Great Mexican place near the University of the Pacific campus that’s conveniently open 24/7! The vegetarian burrito I got with rice, lettuce, beans, hot sauce, and cheese was both delicious and filling and worth every penny paid! The vegetarian sopa I got was also great with just the right amount of spice to fit my palette! We actually ended up visiting several of their food trucks that were all closing down around Stockton before we were finally able to find their main shop here haha, but I’m sure glad we found it after a long exhausting day at the university nearby! Overall, I highly recommend El Grullito here for your Mexican food fix at any time of the day! Just keep in mind that there’s only outdoor seating as it’s really an outdoor kiosk.

This place is really good. They load up the burritos they load up the tacos. The only reason I gave them four stars is because a couple times lately they forget to put my salsa on my tacos and sometimes the wait can be like 10 minutes which seems a little long but other than that its a great place to walk up and get tacos 24 hours a day, also for being in Stockton it’s a relatively nice neighborhood

I would recommend the asadas fries with tacos or your burrito order. I like the pastor burritos here. The tacos are very good as well. Make sure you get extra salsa on the side. The agua fresca are really good as well.
