Great food and wonderful, friendly people. If you want authentic atmosphere, this is it; there is nothing fancy by any stretch, but from the look inside and out, you know you’re getting the real deal Mexican home cooking.

Probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had – and I’ve had a ton of breakfast burritos. A hidden gem in quite literally the middle of nowhere…

We were the only people in the place. I sat down and was immediately shocked at the high prices. I’d expect to pay these prices at a fancy Mexican restaurant like Uncle Julio’s, but not a hole in the wall diner in the middle of nowhere with old, dilapidated dining room tables and decor. Our server was friendly, and nice. She first brought out chips and salsa. The chips were pretty stale but the salsa was great. I didn’t realize we’d be charged for them – we ordered a second set for the salsa. Both our orders turned out to be great. Mine was really spicy, which is what I wanted, so I ended up drinking about three beers as we were staying in a hotel just down the street. My girlfriend had a Mexican coke. The total for two plates, two chips and salsas, three beers and a Mexican coke came to $62. When it came time to pay, our server said the credit card machine was not working and that I had to pay cash. I didn’t have any cash on me so she suggested the gas station ATM next door. It was 43 degrees and windy out, so I walked next door and the ATM wouldn’t work. I went back to the diner to tell my girlfriend I needed to find another ATM, so this time I got in my car, left there and went to two other gas stations before I finally found an ATM to get cash. Went back and said let’s settle up. That’s when I found out our total was $62. I was so irritated at this point that I’d been really been put out, not just by them demanding I pay cash, but that it took an additional 15 minutes to get cash at all, and away from the place I was just relaxing and having an early dinner. I just told her to keep the change. $18 tip. Stay away.

I walked in here and the lady had an attitude of the jump. She approached me as another guy walked in and said are you together and we said no she slid the menu and you can go sit anywhere . Idk if she had a lot going on but what’s the point of a host ? Anyway time passes I’m sitting down and I watch her take care of 5 customers who walked in. Taking there orders and steady going into the back for like 2 minutes then come out and would look and me and turn her head. Didn’t say I’ll be right with you or anything after she went to go sit someone at a table and sitting there for almost 20 minutes I just walked out the service here is whack the store looks busted down and it’s crammed as soon as you walk in and tell the host comb her hair she looked messy smh I wouldn’t recommend here it’s a bad vibe like if you owe them something . I wish I could give zero stars tbh

When it comes to the Cocktail de camarones (shrimp Cocktails) order it ToGo! THIS THING WAS HUGE! Totally worth the money! I’ve spent as much for half the size at small towns before! Because it’s a small town, you have to ring a bell if the place is empty to get the waitress to come out, you’ve been warned! Haha but they are lovely and helpful! Delicious food, spicy salsa with the chips. Wasn’t bad at first, but it’ll creep up, make sure you have your drink with you, save some and put it on your taco! Yum! I’ve traveled a TON and for a small town this is a hidden DIAMOND !
