Great place for authentic Mexican bread. So many choices. Always pass by when I’m in the area.

If I was rating on bread and sandwiches ONLY this place would be *5* star, BUT they also sell menudo and tamales . The tamales are just okay, it’s not their specialty so if I’m craving one then sure, I’ll just grab one whole there otherwise I would just take the bread.
Still reasonable prices in 2022. $0.90-$2.50 bread (specialties). So you can pick up most of the simple pan dulce for under $1.
Sugar cookies are also good. Flan and gelatinas usually available. The deli counter is always fresh jamon.
Staples like milk , soda , and juice can also be picked up.
Good coffee ☕ and champurrado regularly available and good for on the go in the mornings.
Pick up your favorite pan dulce and enjoy!

This bakery Gave our family meat that had worms in them and all they said when we came back to complain was “that was the last meat we had left” no sorry or nothing else. Invest in other bakeries that actually care about their keeping their bakeries clean and care about the quality of their products that they sell to customers!

El Globo Bakery in Montebello is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting aroma of freshly baked goods greets you like an old friend. Their pastries, breads, and cakes are nothing short of perfection—everything is baked to golden perfection with just the right balance of flavor and texture.
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick treat or ordering a custom cake for a special occasion, El Globo Bakery never disappoints. It’s clear they take pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. Highly recommended!

The variety and freshness of the sweet breads was mind blowing. Loved the wooden cases, very old world style. Clean, organized, and great prices. Tryed the red pork tamales they were to die for. ❤️

Pre-ordered cheese tamales for the office & this is what I received. Will not be ordering from El Globo in the future.

In order to know if a bakery has a good bread always buy bolillos and conchas. The bolillo is really good. Conchas failed the test. Bread is too soggy and flavorless. I kept it in paper bag and this morning when I tried to eat it the concha was a hard as a rock.
I also bought a chile verde with chicken tamal. Their salsa is extremely mild. Not recommended.

I heard about this place from my cousin in Temecula. My mom had passed and my family was here from Dallas and Mexico. We wanted real good pan dulce he said El Globo in Montebello was very fresh and was good. I live like 5 minutes from there and when you walk in, there is so many to choose from. The bread is fresh and soft. It’s NOT hard or has been there all day. Its fresh everyday all day. The staff is nice and helpful. My family needs pan dulce everyday while here visiting me so my uncle went every 2 days to get some. It’s now been a year since my moms passing and we went there to get pan dulce after her mass to eat at home with coffee. Her favorite thing to do. I can honestly say it’s very delicious mexican bread of all kinds…you might go overboard!
