Amazing really authentic Mexican cuisine. Truly is a hidden gem. The service is very attentive and customer service is on point. They even still give you chips and salsa when you come in. Ordered take out and it came quick and smelling delicious. Definitely a must try if you are a Mexican cuisine fan! They have seafood and vege options as well.

Love El Gitano! Used Togo to El Gitano in Mt. Vernon on Riverside Drive. I usually get the Express Burrito w/ Guacamole and Sour Cream & Rice & Beans. But I also like Seafood Enchiladas, and Quesadillas and others. Everything is great! Last I was in Sunset Square in Bellingham. Margaritas are great! Sometimes a cervaza like Corona.

EDIT May 2021. I advise CALLING IN your order, don’t do it online. They don’t know how to coordinate apparently and my order was completed 30 minutes after the time I was given. One hour total. Great food but…. That’s too long.

WOW. Excellent and varied vegetarian options with HUGE serving sizes. We got delivery and the items were still warm and tasty when they arrived. We ordered four entrees: tofu enchiladas, spinach enchiladas, veggie burrito, and veggie tamales. All were excellent (though the veggie tamales could use more veggies and less corn). Very good chips and fresh salsa also. Highly recommended!

This place has gone down hill so fast. It used to be so good. But as of recently the service is terrible. The food isn’t good. There isn’t any options for a good hot sauce or salsa and the atmosphere is not pleasant. It’s sad to see a place we used to love going to stop caring about there customers.

First of all, I’ll tell you a mexican restaurants know how to take care of their customers.The customer service has always been good at any mexican restaurant.I’ve been to and they’re so friendly, and so nice.This one is the same.Everybody is great.The atmosphere was awesome.The bartender was engaging the waitresses were super fun. And we only had appetizers and drinks, and it was an awesome time.

This has been a fav restaurant since I was a little girl. We came in couple days ago waited over 45mins for our food my partners burrito was soggy and my daughters chicken strips were hard we waited awhile for our check and waited about 6-10mins for somebody to come get our bill we ended up going to the front so we could pay. We chose not to tip and later seen on our bank statement they self tipped and we were charged for a tip we didn’t approve of.
