First off, I’d like to say that the 2 ladies that work, 90% of the morning shifts are amazing, very professional. Always a smile on their faces, they greet and treat every customer That walks in through the door and make some feel welcome, not to mention the food is not only amazing but it is very affordable. Me and my family have been coming here for years and it is one of our favorite out to eat restaurants as we dine here more than any other restaurant , also a shot out to the cooks who get the food out in a very timely matter where it is fresh, hot and delicious! The staff keep this place clean and we always enjoy thae fast and efficient environment.! Thank You!

I cannot recommend this place enough, staff is friendly and food comes out super quick. My go to here is the #26 Quesabarria tacos!! These things are amazing!!! Meat is so juicy and melt in your mouth and the flavor, oh the flavor. Sorry I ate one before the photo but it does come with three. My wife gets the menudo every time. I do like the broth but can’t get past what menudo is to actually eat it. More power to you that do. I haven’t ever had anything bad here, tacos, mulitas, sopas and more. Cabeza meat, asada, and even the lengua is amazing. Can’t go wrong with this place.

Super delicious tacos! We enjoyed a delicacy of lengua based tacos with rice and beans. And for a nice refreshing drink some Horchata. A well made meal that made us want more. Thank you for your fast and wonderful service.

If you’re looking for a sanitized Tex-Mex restaurant, this isn’t what you’re looking for. Seat yourself, order at the counter from a big confusing overhead menu full of photos of their scrumptious offerings. This is solid fill-your-belly fare, like Mexican mothers made you growing up. The salsa bar is a nice touch but when they say “spicy” they mean it. I enjoyed the combinacion plata with my choice of two meats (lengua was a choice but I went with green chile pork and spicy pork.) sopped my homemade flour tortillas with this comfort food. I’ll be back.

I had the birria plate, which was delicious. In my opinion, it is a big portion, I wasn’t even able to finish it all. My husband had the menudo and it was also good. They both come with tortillas.

Love this place. Love the salsa bar. Tacos were great. The enchiladas were missing a little something. Still good. Nice service and easy drive thru.

No prices listed on the menu (except for salsa)
And i didn’t see rancheros on the menu. For a Mexican restaurant that serves breakfast that’s unheard of
I’m cool with gringos paying a little extra, I just need to know

I was at AAA for some maps and asked where a “down ‘n dirty authentic Mexican restaurant” was. You know what I mean …. Not “dirty” but not touristy and off the beaten path, delicious. El Goro was it!! You order at the counter and they give you a cup to fill your own horchata or drink. This place was DELICIOUS! The street tacos came with two tortillas each. They were just perfect. The refried beans were delicious, too … topped with a sprinkling of shredded cheese. If I lived in Amarillo, this would be my “go to” spot.

First time there and really enjoyed their food. The service was good, the menu is on the wall behind the counter and really easy to read. Prices are good, the restroom was clean, it was a good first time experience. It’s located on Bell right by I-40 so traffic can be a bit busy most of the day but don’t let that stop you from pulling in and trying their food.

Food was good. Service was good. 2 girls in front both spoke good English and Spanish! Prices were a bit on the high side for lunch abt $9-$10 per person. But overall was worth it. Traffic gets congested at lunchtime so go early! Only about 7-8 tables to sit at. Drive thru open too!
