Reviews
Service l: Their service is great, very courteous and friendly. They have a great menu, definitely coming back for more. I have yet to try their cafecito, but I was too full to try it
Location: Plenty of parking and plenty of tables available for when I went around 12:45pm.
The owners were incredibly friendly and sweet, which made the experience even better. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their customers.
I can’t recommend this place enough and am already looking forward to coming back to try another dish.
The pizza has a great flavor however it’s extremely dough-y in the middle tasting uncooked and very disappointing. The edge however is perfect given it’s cooked in a pan so it has that nice crust.
Spaghetti is also very tasty and large portion as well.
The service is where things start to take a slope. Call ahead orders aren’t an option unless paid for over the phone which is inconvenient for those who are uncomfortable giving that information out as well as the time it takes to receive the order is an extreme amount, nearly 30 minutes for 2 items. Staff here also seems inconvenienced when spoken to.
Food is great. Service needs to be worked on
The flavors are just like back in old Cuba, especially the pizza. Tip: Ask for the pizza not to be cut so you can fold it and eat it the real Cuban way. Authentic and delicious.
The personal pizza was good, but not the best—definitely not like El Rey’s. I’m not sure if the cheese was cheddar; I was expecting a blend of Gouda and mozzarella. Nevertheless, we finished it all.
The bistec sandwich was also good, but not the best. I got heartburn from it, which is rare for me. However, it was huge and definitely worthy of the price.
I found the mamey milkshake to be less sweet and missing mamey flavor.
Will I come back? Absolutely! I want to try more items from the menu.
I was born and raised in Miami for over 40 years, and I’m happy to support local businesses like this one. I’m definitely looking forward to trying more dishes in the future.
Update: Not the only cuban pizza place in town anymore but still great pizzas. And now added more traditional cuban food options
First we started off with yucca fries and Maduros which were both made with lots of love. The oil they use in the back is fresh and the yucca and Maduros texture came out hot and perfect the owner suggested we try the Maduros with mayoketchup which was surprisingly GAS!
We also grabbed a Cuban and a pizza de cebollas and added chorizo to it. Sheeeeeesh both were amazing. The Cuban took us back to Miami—so authentic and such a hefty portion! And the pizza? Damn whatever they’re doing to that crust is MAGIC. Super fluffy inside but extremely crispy golden brown exterior. The drink selection to wash it all down was also impressive.
All in all extremely impressed and excited to return. Highly recommend stopping in to try this gem! Share it with friends, they deserve to know about this place too❤️
