Best carne seca I have had in decades. Wonderful customer service. We popped in the store because I grew up eating carne seca, but we will be ordering more from Texas soon. Lord willing! Also best old school candies!!!

The beef jerky was so dry and had absolutely no flavor. 12 bucks on a small ziplock bag just for the seasoning to be all at the bottom. Customer service was okay, lady stared at us the whole time we were in there.

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by El Gaucho’s Beef Jerky for the first time, and what an experience it was! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, but the real star was the jerky itself.
I sampled four different flavors, and each one was a delight.
The staff behind the counter was incredibly friendly and helpful. He offered insights into each flavor, explaining the preparation and giving recommendations based on my taste preferences. It was clear they take pride in what they do, which shows in the quality of the jerky.
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and swing by El Gaucho’s. Highly recommended for both the variety and the exceptional service. I’ll definitely be back to try the rest of their flavors!

Best jerky! We have friends from Portales send us jerky’s from here! It’s the best! Love it. Tryed this new one , sweet red chili. Omg it’s good , sweet maple taste with red chili. Love it! And the pickles always my favorite and love the triple threat and the lemon pepper and Teriyaki

This business parked his beef jerky truck in a shared parking lot in portales. There was an active fundraiser for a kids homeschool co-op going on that was there before him. He blocked multiple vehicles. When the women politely asked him to move so they could get their vehicles out, he was rude and told them to “figure it out” and did not move his truck and trailer. Don’t support this local company that is rude and inconsiderate to women and children.

Best beef jerky ever! I always go to El Gaucho’s before i go on a long drive or just want to grab a protein snack. You can really taste the quality in the beef they use. Great customer services as well.

I’m glad we dropped by and checked out what it’s about. They have at least 10 different beef jerky flavors. My favorite was the lemon pepper. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and gave us a wonderful experience overall. We will come back for sure.
