Their tacos are not flavorful whatsoever. It’s very dry and needs sauce, tomatillo, anything! The shredded radish is interesting, but doesn’t provide any additional flavor. It’d be much better if the meat was a lot juicier and had more seasoning overall. I do like that they added parchment paper in between each taco so that they don’t get too soggy. On the other hand, the loaded fries are pretty salty!
Overall, I’ve had muchhh better tacos elsewhere. For the price, their food is not worth another visit from me, unfortunately.

I went in wanting to hate on the place, being that it looks so new and bougie. I thought it was an Americanized place with high prices…. I had the fish taco, birria taco, esquites and birria soup (consome) with a tamarind water. I spent around $35 bucks – and after eating, I was sad to admit I LOVED everything about this restaurant. The tacos came out and the tortillas smelled like a tortilleria in Cuernavaca Mexico. Freshly made and I would assume made in house. I complimented the staff, tipped accordingly and brought my girl in to try it shortly after my first visit – & she agrees! (Ps:we’re both Mexican) sooo lo and behold we have our new favorite Mexican spot in the neighborhood. You have to try it! I’ve only gone in person, never delivery- love the freshness! Actually writing this review while heading in for another round.
Update: Pictures added from my latest meal. The torta is fiiiiire the bread is so spongey. And the pozole is incredible also! Lord have mercy ima have to run down the whole menu

Since 2025, I’ve noticed a drastic change in this place that used to be one of my favorites. The tacos have no flavor; they just put one tortilla , The tongue tacos used to be my favorite, but now they’re undercooked and there are huge chunks in the taco that don’t look appetizing. They removed my favorite dessert, ice cream with churros. I don’t know what happened, but the change was enormous. I wanted to give it a second chance, but they definitely aren’t making the effort to improve. I’ll never go back to that place. Very disappointed.

Lengua taco was so juicy and tender. Guac also was fresh and full of flavor. Marco was very polite and provided great service. It was my first time and will definitely go back.

Honestly I gave this place a good review previously, but as of late they’ve gone downhill. Horrible customer service and the prices have gone up. I ordered weekly from this place, but will be stopping. Get staff that actually treat customers with respect.
Update: The lady working the afternoon on 1/30 said she would cancel my order. I have to call back 40 minutes later cause she didn’t do anything. She proceeds to lie to me and tell me the food is ready and they’re just waiting for a driver. I called 2 minutes after I placed my order and after the poor service I requested to cancel my order to which the store associate said okay. So obviously there’s no way the food should have been prepped. The lady is either bad at her job or a straight liar. I’m almost certain she didn’t even understand what I was saying.

El Gallo is such a local gem (even though it’s branched out), but the original location hits every single time. Late night? El Gallo has you covered. The burritos are delicious, the rice is always cooked to perfection, and the tinga is my go-to. The tacos are just as good, but I hate to admit it… the fries are AMAZING. Paired with the habanero ketchup, it’s a full-on punch of flavor. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. I always order El Gallo when I have company, and everyone loves it! I feel like I order it too often If you’re looking to try something new, definitely give El Gallo a shot. You won’t regret it

You want Mexican fast food without the fast food taste and feel? You have to come to El Gallo Taqueria. Thalia is an amazing hostess and managed our meals efficiently and quickly. The food is always spot on, love their bowls and street corn. The burritos are delicious and the wraps are soft and well prepared. Kid approved so it’s amazing for the whole family.

I had an excellent experience at El Gallo Taqueria and am giving it a full 5-star rating! The food, service, and atmosphere were all consistently good, each earning a solid 3-star rating. It is a reliable and high-quality spot that I would definitely recommend to others!

I ordered two burrito bowls and honestly it felt like they split one portion into two containers. The quantity was really disappointing — barely any beans as if they used one tablespoon, very little protein, and overall just skimpy compared to what you’d expect for the price.
On top of that, everything was cold when it arrived. The beans were watery and bland, the meat and rice had no real flavor, and the whole bowl just looked unappetizing. I’ve had burrito bowls from other mexican restaurants and it’s night and day — usually they’re hot, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. This was the complete opposite.
Unfortunately, this was a letdown and not something I’d order again.

I don’t know why this place had such great ratings. The food is just OK. It’s not even all that. And the lady had an attitude. Their green sauce is really good. regular street parking.
