Food was decent , nothing to rave about. I thought the birria tacos were pretty small for 16.50$. Consume however was delicious, definitely needed as the birria by themselves were a bit dry & flavor lacking. Would not order again for the price point & size. Queso was also not the best I had that’s for sure. Burrito was quite large , but guac was forgotten sadly. Maybe an off night but worth a try if you haven’t yet!

I’ve been here before, also the Monroe location. Which I believe may be under a new name. I loved the Monroe location. I did eat here once before, and it was okay. Ordered take out tonight, and unfortunately, it was not too good. I did love that they surprised us with a little Valentines Day treat, which was super sweet. Even tho I did not enjoy my meal tonight, I will give them another shot in the future.

Some of the absolute best Latin cuisine in the area! Truly!!!
They cook it with care and love and you can taste the difference. Fresh and flavorful ingredients, amazing spices, sauces and flavors. AND their prices are very reasonable to the delicious product.
If you are the type of person that can’t handle spice/heat, be mindful of how much sauce you add to your dish. They always give a spread of sauces with their meals and they are each amazing.
Also, their staff is fantastic. Especially Elizabeth who is usually working the register during the week. She remembers me and my order and always makes me feel welcome and valued.
Do yourself a favor, and try El Gallo!!!

my take out order were 2 burritos lengua and birria, paid over $38, both mostly hard rice, hardly any meat, no guacamole, but the worse was I found 2 nasty long hairs in my burrito, called them but they refuse to refund or a fresh burrito, and pretty much called me a liar. Will never come back, this place sucks.

Quite disappointed for the hype. The queso fundito was broken, gritty, and flavorless. The chips were cold and needed salt. The birria quesadilla was tasty but not impressive, the fajitas were fine. Certainly not worth the cost. We paid about sixty bucks. Tables were all pretty gross, needed to wipe somewhere yourself if you wanted to sit. Easily the worst part though was the TV blasting at full volume to complete with the music being played in the kitchen. Really headache inducing. Also, wearing gloves doesn’t count if you go from handling food, to playing with your phone, back to handling food, all without changing your gloves. Since the kitchen is in full view of the dining area, I’d think the cooks would take a bit more care. I’d love to be able to update this review more positively in the future, but I really don’t see myself ever coming back, even though I pass the location frequently.
Overall food was fine, atmosphere was poor, and value was quite poor. If you’re craving Mexican food and have the time, I’d highly recommend taking the extra 20 minutes to visit Tequila Revolucion in Fairfield.

Birria tacos were loaded up with tons of steak with even more served up in the consommé. Overall a really delicious, generous portion served up by friendly staff.
This was my first time there, but I’m told by my friend, who is a semi-regular, that so far he has gotten this same quality every time.

We were in the area and decided to try a couple of things like tacos and torta and also pupusas we didn’t like them at all pupusas were not cooked, taco meat was hard overall not a great experience and we paid $79 dollars for this? Food is lackluster as usual. They always forget things here and there and the worst part is when you order from Uber or anything, there’s no protection from food being tampered with. A loose knot in a plastic bag is not protection enough. The driver can steal food or tamper with it. And that’s what happened and they won’t make it right. I’ve ordered my last meal from this place.
