This is a basic dive restaurant with minimal, worn out tables and booths/chairs, plastic cutlery, and counter service only. But the food is wonderful! Hot, fresh, generous portions, and fast! And so inexpensive! I had a huge burrito for the same price as a 6” sub at Subway at about the same speed and so good!

I finally tried this Mexican restaurant last week, and let me just say—I was not disappointed! For the longest time, I thought it was closed, but it turns out they just close a little earlier than most places.
It’s a small, family-style spot with a cozy feel, and as someone who grew up in California and can be pretty selective about Mexican food, I was impressed. They make their own flour and corn tortillas fresh, and you can really taste the difference—absolutely delicious.
The super burrito was hands down one of the biggest burritos I’ve ever seen, and every bite was packed with flavor. I also tried their street tacos, and they were amazing—authentic, fresh, and perfectly seasoned.
If you’re craving real, homemade Mexican food, this place does not disappoint. I’ll definitely be back!

Another hidden gem in Kilgore. Next to the bowling alley, green little building. Lady was super nice! I had the potato and egg with cheese burrito, so good! Made with flour tortilla and not the store bought one. Homemade red salsa was spicy (which I preferred.)

Native Texan here! I popped in on a lunch break. Friendly, clean, non greasy. I’ve traveled to nuevo progresso, Mexico several times over this past year, and the food here tasted like Mexico. Authentic Mexican, not Tex Mex. New lunch spot fav!
