This review is for the restaurant. Who would’ve thought this market I pass by on a daily basis would have good food. They sell Mexican food everyday and Nicaraguan food on the weekends. However the cocina closes at 4:30.
After reading some reviews, I decided to give it a try. The ordering process was a little confusing at first; ordering at the kitchen, paying at the cashier and then going to get your drinks at one counter and handing the receipt back to the kitchen. I figured out my way though.
I was excited to see that they had hand made tortillas. I ordered a Hawaiian taco and it was awesome! Very good with the cheese, meat, pineapple and sauce. Also tried a nacatamal which was good too but overwhelming for the size if you’re not a good eater. Enjoy!

Great Nicaraguan food. Great price and we don’t have to drive too far for a delicious meal. Also they have Christmas specials on their food. Their lengua en salsa is so good. Twice I have spend my money on gallo pinto and the rice is awful. Firs time no flavor at all. Second time tasted old and bad. I usually get it for our reunions with family and friends and the last two times I had to say sorry to my people. Its not cheap to be embarrence. I hope I get a respond before calling health department to check them out. I been going there since. El mudo. Owner. Gerardo. Over 40 years. But for some reason its not to his stander’s. Its about money only.

I went to CA for a few days and I was looking for a place that have Nicaraguan food.
I tried Fresco de Cacao and it was very good, the Nacatamales were awesome!! and huge, was worth the price. I also have some fish tacos that was the especial that day and it was very good.
The place was very clean and appealing.

Since the pandemic I been coming here to get my meats, great service at the Carniceria and the meats have always been great. Recently I tried their ready to cook Pupusas! I can’t believe I waited this long to get them, they are soo good. We grabbed a few bags of them they come in 6 packs and they have Revuelta and Queso. They are a complete hit at my home. Definitely will continue to buy. Also they got a good size vegetable sections and it always look very fresh.
