This restaurant is awesome! The chips and salsa were so tasty that i didn’t even have time to take a picture. My friend ordered the salmon meal and I ordered the chicken sopes. Both were delicious and the sauces on the side added some nice spice. I loved the red one. MOST of all though, our server (and i think the owner?) was fantastic. She was attentive, communicative, cheerful and funny. We didn’t wait very long for food but she insisted on treating us to homemade tres leches cake. it was fluffy and perfectly milky! I’m excited to return 🙂

Food is amazingly good. Very different than the typical “mexican” restaurants. The chef is the owner and the quality of food is delicious. They do try to accommodate dietary restrictions which is a plus.

What a great experience! We were looking to try a new place for my birthday and came upon El Fuego… and are so happy we did! Yummy food, really attentive service (without being pushy), and a fun vibe. Felt treated like we were family or special guests. We’ll be back!

What an awesome restaurant! Great service and even better food! The salsa, chips, and guacamole were amazing! So fresh and flavorful. We took a bowl of the salsa home to eat throughout the week – it was that good! My husband and I have been looking for a new taco place, and we are so glad we found this one. Definitely try their delicious green sauce, and if you’re into spiciness, the red sauce is tasty as well. Will definitely be coming back!

Food was delicious and made-to-order! The margaritas were large (El Fuego jalapeno was my favorite!) and perfect for a summer night on their back patio. Our waiter (I’m sorry for forgetting his name) was fantastic, attentive, and so friendly… We had a great dinner and will be back again soon (and will rave to friends and family). It was one of the best looking and tasting burritos that I have eaten. They cut in half and that was great! I could only eat half. Price was very good! Well worth the carry out! We will be back for Carry out soon. Two thumbs up and tummy full! Great job!

Worst take out experience ever! From waiting 25 mins for an order of steak nachos to the server passing me a no signature required receipt so i could tip her for a take out order. Got home to find no guac in the nachos how advertised, and the beans were mixed with chorizo. You are in Skokie, where half the population is Kosher or Muslim, which my gf is. I, of course, took it back and was met with defensiveness from who I’m assuming is the owner. He grabbed everything and angrily chucked it at the garbage next to him, and as he walked away said to his server to give me my money back. They shorted me a dollar, which, whatever

Took a family bike ride and ended up getting lunch here. The owner was extremely kind and facilitating. The boys all loved the food! Taco salad is amazing and the drinks were generous…I recommend the Jolly Rancher Shot. All around a great experience. We will definitely be coming back with friends.

I’ve only ordered delivery, and each time the customer service when putting in my indecisive order has been outstanding. Definitely helpful. The food!!!! Oh mu God the tacos are exactly what you want, need and crave in a taco. Portions are great and the prices are what you would regularly expect. Very good food….. I enjoy the service and the food.
