I finally got around to trying this place near the end of June last year and IMHO, this place is a real gem. Looks can be deceiving but don’t let being located in an off-brand gas station throw you off.
The food here is pretty darn good for the price and I’m sure this is a local favorite for the folks of K-Town. Gladly I only live a few miles south of the border in Beach Park, so future visits are highly likely.
But then again I’m in the Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie area quite a bit especially when gassing up. El Fuego Gyros is a real find with really good all around food, friendly service in a cozy dining space.
I’ve had gyros from several different venues between IL & WI and the taste definitely does stand out here compared to most I’ve had. My wife mentioned she liked her Philly.
Another hit and go-to venue for tasty grub that I’d gladly come back to. Don’t know if this is owned by the same owner of the gas station but I certainly hope for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).

Every time I come here, I’m always satisfied with my order — the taste, quality, and price are consistently amazing. The food is fresh and flavorful, the portions are generous, and the staff is always friendly. Whether it’s gyros, tacos, or anything else on the menu, they never disappoint. Queso birria tacos on point; dont forget the ramen. Not in the mood for tacos or gyros? Treat yourself to a triple cheese burger or wings. You’ll want to thank me later. Easily one of my favorite spots in Kenosha!

First time getting food from this restaurant voted the Best in Kenosha year after year! We ordered to go and it was GREAT! There are a few tables where you can eat inside. Everything was made fresh to order and tasted great! We ordered gyros, cheese fries, and Mexican corn!! All tasted awesome! The homemade tzatziki sauce was fresh and yummy! The gyro meat was a ver generous portion and the soft, fresh pita was overflowing with abundance! We will be back to try other menu items.

Whether you want every day burgers and dogs, hot deli sandwiches tacos or gyros, you will love the taste. Every day fish fry is available with some additional seafood dishes. Taco Tuesday (five for five) and other specials are available, too. A small space by comparison, there are a few tables to sit down and enjoy your food or get it for takeout. During Covid-19 related restrictions eating-in is unavailable but takeout or delivery are great options. Friendly and helpful staff that works hard to please.

El FUEGO GYROS this is a restaurant that is inside the American Gas Station. By all means go in! This is a fantastic hidden gem. It is very clean and inviting. You can order to go or eat at the tables and seating that they have. The people that work here are very friendly. They have lots of items to offer. Gyros, tacos, wraps, sandwiches like Patty Mills, Ruben, prime rib. They have hamburgers, you can build your ownputa paninis. They have different styles of hot dogs, Polish sausage they have a selection of appetizers in a selection of extras and sides. They do offer specials. This is just a great place with great food you can’t go wrong

Order from grubhub and they will screw you, much like a few of the other ratings. My gyro had literally 4 to 5 strips of meat in it with tons of onions. I called them when they did not deliver on a double cheeseburger with bacon. They literally just said. No, you gotta contact grubhub. The place is trash.

I didn’t know what to expect. A Greek / Mexican restaurant inside of a gas station? No way this can be good. Except it is. Their “Super Burger” is probably the best burger I’ve ever had – 3 patties of beef, plus bacon, and a whole friggin gyro on top of it, plus tomato, onions, lettuce and a whole bucket of sauce. Real nice family working there, too.

My husband and I stopped here to eat. Being in a gas station i wasn’t sure how it would be. I ordered the crispy chicken melt which was very good. My husband got the gyro signature cheese burger. The thing was huge. Loaded with meat. It was one of the best burgers he has ever had. This is definitely a hidden jem. I highly recommend checking this place out. Absolutely amazing.
