Love the other location but glad that this one is even closer. The service here is on point, you will not be in want of water, chips or salsa at any point in time. I’ve been to this location twice and on my second visit I had to order the same thing (chile relleno with steak) because it was so good the first time. The steak was buttery and the relleno stuffed with firm and salty cheese. The beans have a great umami/meaty flavor and the rice is solid as well. I also got the mangonada marg on both visits; while absolutely delicious it was a bit light on tequila on my last trip but I’m writing it off as a fluke. Also, the speed at which the kitchen gets the food out surprises me each time, but you never feel rushed to leave. Please come out and support this establishment. ❤️

Had to make a target run and both me and my partner were wanting Mexican food so we decided to stop in. I got fajitas that had a few different types of meat in it and if I’m being honest the meal was forgettable. The food wasn’t necessarily bad but I am a lover of Mexican food and this just wasn’t up to par with many other places in the Des Moines area. Overall the service also was just ok, we ended up having to wait a while for our check and the place was nearly empty. I can’t see myself coming back here but just on a whim if your on a Target run and hungry I guess it will suffice.

Entrees were very delicious. Food was delivered surprisingly fast after our order. As other reviews have said, the chips were very average or below, salsa was meh, like Pace picante sauce, and my house margarita was… it had a chemical lime flavor. And I repeatedly had to flag down servers to get any service, even though there was plenty of staff. Really disappointing experience.

This is a 5 star Mexican experience. The food was worthy of bragging rights! Large portions for a reasonable price. Margaritas were the best I’ve had while traveling in Des Moines. Service…5+ stars! Prompt and attentive with great recommendations. I highly suggest trying this place if you haven’t already!

I ordered a ice coffee and it came with alcohol in it with no warning as some one who was out celebrating 700 days of sobriety this was very upsetting luckily I realized after one sip but they tried to justify it by saying it’s in the alcoholic menu I never looked at the menu I seen the picture and simple asked for an ice coffee

Very disappointed in my experience here based on the reviews they have. I love margaritas but this was the worst house margarita Iv ever had. It tasted very cheap, especially the mix they used. Almost like a kool aid packet was dumped in it. I got a combo of the enchilada and the burrito and again, tasted cheap. The chicken tasted like it was a bland rotisserie from Walmart. The rice tastes like it was frozen and the beans are par if that. The only reason this place gets two stars is the chips and salsa. Those were alright. On a positive note, the staff were kind and friendly as well which made the atmosphere better.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The portions are very well sized, the service is the fastest service I’ve experienced at any Mexican eatery (Thank you Ivan!), and the food is packed with flavor! If you’re considering going here, PLEASE DO! The alcoholic beverages are outstanding, and MASSIVE!

Allow me to say, Great customer service, you can feel the love and care from staff each and every one, I gave never experienced this before and I loveeeee itttttt…. soo many selections to choose from even healthy vegan choices, kids choice , drinks and much more. I love how clean the bathrooms are, changing station available and it’s the best one I have EVERRR SEEN in a restaurant. I am highly grateful . Lots of parking , convenient to lots of stores, restaurants, in the surrounding areas, I am very greatly appreciative. Will I come back again? YOU BET I WILL ❤️ I forgot to add yes highchairs are available for your beautiful baby

I’m a native Texan so I’m a Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican food snob so I’m pretty judgemental of Mexican restaurants. Service was fast and friendly.

I love chunky guacamole and being able to see the ingredients so their’s was a hit for me, although I would have loved a bit more cilantro and a kick of spice. It would be great if they offered a spicer version but that’s because I’m a fan of jalapenos. The salsa was tasty as well.

I opted for what I’d consider Tex-Mex and had a Super Burrito. The ground beef and chorizo were seasoned well. I would have preferred less rice and more beans and pico though.

The blue margarita was tasty. So glad I went with my first mind and ordered a small because it was just the right size for someone whose tolerance isn’t the same as it was in my 20s and 30s.

Although I had a few things that I would have preferred, this snob liked it enough to visit them again. Next time, I have to get a meal so I can try the rice and beans as sides versus a combination.
