I’m giving it a 4 star rate due to waiting time other than that service is good food is great. Local is not to big so if it’s packed you’ll have to wait to be seated. You can order ahead of time that way you don’t have to wait that long.

No coffee, no tea, orange soda came out of a 3 liter bottle and was flat. Kids burger was less than appealing and was over cooked to the point of burnt. The tostones tasted stale. Plus side was the young lady that was apologetic and took the burger back and remade it for my son. She also removed his plate from my tab. Overall the arroz con Candoles and beef plate was delicious. The lack of drink options from the menu was a disappointment since we do not drink sodas.

Good Puertorrican food. That’s the best Mofongo I have taste in San Antonio. Service is good although a bit slow but is not pre cook food and everything taste great!

The only thing they have going for the is good food but the 1-1/2 hr of wait on a dinner of 2 was not worth the wait but it gets worse, the amount of flies in that place is just another next to the amount of employees that honestly I don’t have a clue how this place is still in business. I didn’t count the tables but I don’t think there was more than 10 with about 5 waiters and and at leas six cooks. Well I hope they get it together but with my experience 77.00 dollars on a dinner of two is the last they’ll ever see from me and not a cent more..

I went today after renewal and I believe they change the chef or something. Food wasn’t tasting as unique as usual. The mofongo was not smooth, the rice and beans was cold, the “tostones were saggy as the surullos instead of crunchy. The desert “quesito, the first time I tried it ,it was fresh, soft and melted in mouth, today I barely could eat it!
Bathroom with strong smell of urine, and a lot of dust on top of sink, soap dispenser and top of toilet. In general there is something about the flavor that changed and what makes them unique and the best is not there anymore Now I think is just average.

Dirty tables and floor is sticky. Every thing tastes like fajita seasoning. Overpriced compared to other local hole in the walls. I suggest that you stay home and cook before trying this place.

This is the second time my husband and I visit the place. The mofongo is as good as the one prepared in the best restaurants of La Playa, Salinas. OMG, I’m so full. Price was about right.
