Food was good, music was fun, service was rough. I went with 3 other people, and all of our meals came out at least 10 minutes apart from each other. 40 minutes after we ordered, 1.5 of us had been served and another had finally be informed that the person that makes their dish wasn’t there and need to order something else. I would imagine take out or eating solo would be fine. Attached you can find a photo of the tacos. Spicy sauce with the chips was great

Flavor, quantity and quality of ingredients was pretty good… I made a doordash order and instead of tostones, I got plantains. I don’t know who’s fault that is.
The biggest con was GRIT in the food. The burrito and the steak nachos (both $15 items) had grit. I don’t know if the lettuce wasn’t washed or the fresh cilantro… But it was like every three bites we were chewing on sand. Not good. This is why 3*

Leave the Cave Enter the Light
Upon arrival we were greeted by a pleasant young lady who gave us menus and told us what prepared foods they had at the buffet. We decided to get takeout and ordered food from the buffet along with plantains which I believe they fried fresh upon ordering them. We were in and out the door in 15 minutes. The food was very delicious and more than enough for the two of us. I would say this is authentic Dominican or Spanish food. The price seemed a little high until I saw how much food we actually ordered haha. Its easy to over order when you get a little bit of everything. We had pleanty of left overs for tomorrow. Overall I was satisfied with my visit and I will be returning again for another visit. Id recommend ordering one container of food from the buffet just to get an idea of the quality(good) and quantity(good) of the food youre receiving. The pork, rice and beans were exactly what i hoped and the plantains were good too. This now saves me from driving to newburgh or middletown when im craving some Spanish food. I hope this place makes it.

This place has wonderful food however the customer service is lacking. I have ordered from here 2 or 3 times and twice the order has been wrong. The first time they handled it wonderfully and brought the corrected order to my home. The second time I specifically stated that I wanted to have a tostada with ground beef not sausage. Order arrived via doordash and had sausage in it. I called them immediately and stated my issue. Their response was ” I didn’t say I wanted ground beef and that I should have wrote that. ” (Which I did by the way.) Then they said it was extra. I told them if my order is over 100 dollars I would not paying the extra money. Their response was to call doordash and get a refund. My issue is what about the person who can not eat the food they sent. The general attitude was ” Oh well.” I offered to pay extra for the correct t dish and they were not interested.
It’s a shame, their food is good but not so much that bad customer service can be overlooked.

Super good service for dining in. Huge portions, they don’t skimp on the meat. Authentic. Highly recommended as it’s the only authentic Mexican/Dominican joint in the area. Don’t be off put by their confusing menu… Tacos Arabes are excellent.

The food isn’t bad but it could use a little more work. I ordered fried calamari once and it was burnt, however the second time was better. I also ordered the tacos dorados, and it kind of wasn’t what I was expecting. There was no guac. No salsa verde, no queso fresco, but they put shredded american cheese.

This place is kind of weird. Been here twice. Both times the service is poor. Both times we had to ask several times to get cutlery. Sometimes you get chips and salsa sometimes not. Sometimes they don’t have all the menu items. The last time we noticed a very strong sewer smell as we sat waiting for our food. We almost got it to go but as we were discussing it the food came. Both times the place was completely empty other that is. Both times the food was really good. Weird right ? Not sure if I’ll return

I took my family to El Fogón and we had a great experience. The workers are very welcoming and the food is excellent. The place is also beautiful and very well decorated. We love El Fogón. We highly recommend it.
