Food came out quick and tasted good but was missing ingredients that was listed in their menu. Where’s the lettuce??
Update: Went back to give them another chance. Told the cashier I wanted everything listed on the menu on my nachos. Still came back missing some of the toppings. Cook claimed he didn’t know when he was standing literally next to the cashier when I was placing my order. Told them the toppings were missing then they finally added them on my plate. Shouldn’t have to repeat myself that much just to get my order correct. I also wanted soup but didn’t get it because the cashier told me they only have it in a 32 ounce container. Then when I walk up to the other side of the counter I see right above the grill a giant sign saying they offer soup in a bowl. Not sure what the deal is with the workers here but it’s like they don’t want your business. Seems like management didn’t have much of an influence on their workers.

This famous burrito location is always a go to when in the mood for tacos! They were quick when we dined in. Didn’t wait much after we got our drinks. Everything is very filling from some guac and chips or a steak quesadilla as appetizer everything is always well done. We came for taco Tuesday for the 2.75$ tacos with an Horchata its sure to hit the spot!

I usually go to the one in Elmhurst which is the best. Got two burritos to go. Total cost was $24. Got home. Nothing inside the burrito except meat. Huge chunks of fat. Never returning!!

The prices went up and the value went down. My 4 year old son and I decided on Tacos to treat ourselves on Taco Tuesday. I used to come to El famous a lot more frequently in the past, but now I remember why I stopped coming. These portions are for toddlers. I got lots of lettuce and tomatoes and damn near didn’t get any meat. I paid $16+ for a 3 taco dinner… Go to Taco Bell and get more bang for your buck. So disappointing.

Me and my girlfriend ordered a steak burrito and a breaded chicken torta. We got Jamaica and Horchata for our drinks. Drinks were good and food was good until we found a piece of hair in my steak burrito. Unsanitary way to serve food and won’t be coming again for the instance.

I’ve been coming to this El Famous for about 25+ years. It’s definitely the go-to for Mexican food around our house. A weekly rotation in our house.
Today, I placed an order for dinner and ordered myself the chicken fajitas. My mom got steak fajitas and we got chips and guacamole to split. There is an option, when ordering, to choose no sour cream, guacamole, rice or beans. I wanted everything listed but sour cream. I do not eat cheese but it wasn’t an option to check off. In fact, you had to pay for the cheese if you wanted to add it.
We got the food home and sure enough, there was cheese on my fajitas. We called to see if the store would either refund me or remake my food and to my surprise, they wouldn’t do either. I tried to explain that since they messed up, they should remake it. It was clear that there was no cheese added to this order. The lady on the phone literally said “even though it says no cheese, sometimes the cook puts cheese on.” What?! Consistency much? I’ve ordered this same meal plenty of times before and have never had cheese on it. I told them it was their fault and I’d love to get a new one made. I even said I’d return the food we got. The lady said “it’s not our fault” after admitting that the meal does not come with cheese but the cook did, indeed, put cheese on the order. We asked to speak to a manager and she gave us to some guy who claimed he was not the manager. He was lost. Had NO idea what we were explaining. Didn’t understand a word. Didn’t really speak much English either. He told us to call tomorrow and speak to the actual manager, Rosa. Oh, won’t that be fun. I’ll update after we speak with her. Hopefully she’s not as dense as the people who were working tonight.
It’s a shame because El Famous is a favorite around here. Growing up, they had a solid crew that worked there. I knew and recognized everyone and they did the same for me. I’m not sure if they switched ownership or just got rid of all the good guys who used to work there. Now the people who are behind the counter seem like they have zero brains and simply show up for the paycheck. We will not be back ever again.

Do not ever order from El Famous food with Grubhub. They failed twice now to give us a correct order. They failed to give the Grubhub drive twice now our full order. This place has really gone down since management changed. They haven’t been the same. We tried to give them a second chance, but again they messed it up. Done. Find yourself another Mexican restaurant

I think that food is good, my hubby went there to get us some tacos and ended up having burritos and nachos. Well, I have to admit I’m not a fun of Mexican food, but I have to admit that this was delicious, even my son ended up leaving his fingers after he was don. So yes, thumb up and a 5 stars for now.
