While traveling through town, I stopped to get some dinner. Had no wait, server brought me chips and salsa and my drink. Had just a few minutes to enjoy the chips and dip before my entire was brought out. Presentation was perfect. I ordered the Pork Chimichanga with rice and black beans. Food was perfect. Service was fast and was in and out in 30 minutes and back on the road.

Food is decent and I have been an avid consumer of this location since I recently moved here a few months ago. Everything has gone well, until my visit today 11/28/25 where I was charged for the spicy salsa I have ordered upon every visit. I have never been charged for this before, so to see an additional $2 charge for an item I have ordered many, many times was very strange.
Not sure what or why that has changed, but other than strange pricing policy, the place is great.

It’s the BEST AUTHENTIC Mexican food that I’ve had in a looooong time. The customer service experience was AWESOME & timely. I would drive from Bolivar, MO to eat at this restaurant. My absolute favorite is the salsa w/fresh cilantro, thin as air tortilla chips & their chili rellanos.

Big portions with good prices. Got a burrito with steak chicken and shrimp for $13 and change. Service was fast and polite. Children’s menu is good for young/picky eaters and very affordable.

El Molcajete was great. I imagine any of their fajitas dishes are as well, as you basically get every one of their fajita meats in a molcajete bowl. The regular enchilada and tamales were ok, but not what I would call great, but I only tried the regular enchilada. Sweet tea was instant, but drinkable. Overall, all the meats in the dish were seasoned perfectly and the grilled onions on the dish i could have ate an entire plate of on their own. As they were perfectly seasoned and caramelized.

A group of 9 of us went to this restaurant yesterday evening expecting good food and service (which we had experienced several times before) at this establishment. Unfortunately neither of these expectations happened. After waiting over twenty minutes for even getting water, napkins or any menus or eating utensils I finally went to the front of the restaurant and asked if they were short handed. I was told no. This confused me even more and any service was another 10 to 15 minutes in arriving. When it finally came we were short we were short menus, napkins and eating utensils and no effort was made to correct the problem. No one ever asked for drink orders and by this time quite frankly no one was in the mood for drinks. We just wanted to order, eat and leave. When we were finally able to order, the food came late and at least some of it wasn’t hot and quite frankly dried out and not fit to eat! No need for any to go boxes from this place. Quite frankly I think we would have been better off just leaving earlier in this ordeal. No smiles. No service, no apologies, and terrible food.
