Yesterday was cool enough (short lived) that I wanted a nice bowl of soup. I sat down and there was a nice person sitting by herself too. Lupa invited me to sit and eat dinner with her and chat. She has been to dinner at El Dorado before, and she talked about the soup. She got. Beef and veggie soup, and I got Seven Seas seafood soup. The soup comes with tortillas and a dish of soup toppings including onions, jalapeños, limes and cilantro. These toppings remind me of pho or Vietnamese style soups.
.
The beef soup is made with beef short ribs, vegetables, and a red spicy broth. The seafood soup is a big bowl and provided 2 full meals. The seafood soup included fish, squid, octopus, scallops, shrimp, crab, abalone or conch and veggies. The broth is a little spicy. The tortillas are served warm, and are delightful.

So, I am working my way up S 24th from Q to Cuming, and this is my 3rd restaurant. I want to say S 24th St is one of the most delicious street in Omaha. So far, I am right.

We are regulars at El Dorado. Truely authentic Mexican food. My husband loves their ceviche. He’s tried other places, but he prefers El Dorado’s. Prices are reasonable, service is great, and the owners are happily greeting you at the door. I love their cheese enchiladas and their chicken flautas. My husband’s soup has 12 different kinds of seafood. I got their bacon wrapped shrimp. Their aguas frescas are so good. I try not to chug it all before my food comes. I recommend it 100%.

Very good food and service wasn’t bad. Went for my birthday and they played happy birthday and brought out flan for free. The fajitas was big enough to share between two for future reference lol. The drinks are in a bottle though so no free refills only on water and tea.

The food was amazing here! The spices and textures were all amazing! Definitely go hungry! The portion sizes were massive! I need to go back and try more dishes! And the margaritas were some of the best I personally have! The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star review overall. Is because the language barrier made things a little difficult to order. But DO NOT let that stop you from enjoying great drinks and fantastic food!

This place was great! Wound up here accidentally and I’m glad I did. I had the carnitas and everything was incredible. The pork was tender and perfectly cooked, the pico tasted really fresh and the avocados were perfectly ripe, and the beans were amazing! The chips they brought to the table when we sat down tasted like they were freshly fried, and the salsa was wonderful. The tortillas were flavorful and fresh. The place was busy as can be, people were coming in the whole time we were there. The service was great but I did have to wait a very long time to pay my check. Anyway, I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu items. There was so much shown that looked really good.

I got the Carne Asada steak and the person I was with got one of the fajita dishes. We both agreed it tastes authentic. The food was fresh and delicious. Liked how the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere is definitely family friendly, I went with a friend but if I wanted to bring my family I can. Our server was nice even though she seemed like she was in a rush, but the food took some time to get prepared. It was worth the wait. I would come back here again!

Trying all the Mexican restaurants out on 24th street, and happened to come here on a Saturday during lunch when they were having live Mexican music. Such a joy! I love the authentic Mexican atmosphere, authentic Mexican music, and authentic Mexican food. Belkis was my waitress and she was amazing! I ordered a carne asada taco and a carne asada sope. Taco meat was a little bit greasy on the taco, that’s just cuz I’m used to Abelardo’s dry meat, LOL. Everything tasted great. The salsa that comes with the chips is freaking amazingly delicious! Belkis even gave me extra containers to take all the hot sauce to go! I definitely had an awesome time on a random Saturday.

I had a major hankering for some enchiladas and tacos. Real ones.
So we went for the short drive from midtown and I would have driven twice as far for less.
I left way too full, and way too happy. And now I even a new menu item to try next time so a future trip is already planned.

I was excited to try this establishment. I ordered the Combo Fajita platter. It was sizzling hot but I felt cheated because it had 3 shrimp. The rice and bean puree was cold. I didnt like that at all. I’ll give the establishment 1 more try before I say nay
