One of the best experiences I’ve EVER HAD!!! It was so fun me and my girl had a blast!!! Servers and bartenders were beyondddd amazing and playful I LOVED IT!! Drinks are so creative here and tasty! The owner was present and made sure everything was up to our standards (even though they were above and beyond any expectations I had) I got the Cali fries which were filling but soooo good I kept forcing myself to eat more. Overall the best places I’ve been in Beaufort regarding food, drinks, service, and overall experience! If you’re looking for good food and a good time you know where to go!!!

I’m a big snob for the quality of basic beans and rice and this first visit, they knocked it out of the park. My huevosrancheros was tasty. They also had a unique “white sauce” along side the chips and salsa. It was light and tasty if you like something sweeter. Cheese dip was a little on the “thin” side but ok. Veronica our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. I like that she was able to speak about the ownership chain connections here in Beaufort. They did a great job renovating the old Chinese buffet building.

Had a fantastic time here! The vibe is absolutely spot on—perfect for a night out or a nice dinner. The service was top-notch; our server was attentive and made us feel welcome right away. My only complaint was the price of the mixed drinks. While delicious, they felt a bit overpriced for the portion/strength. Will return!

El Don is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve been to! From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely top-notch — friendly, attentive, and fast without ever feeling rushed.
The drinks were 10/10 — perfectly made, flavorful, and just the right balance. You can tell they don’t skimp on quality. And the food? Incredible. Everything came out fresh, hot, and packed with authentic flavor. Every bite was better than the last!

Stopped in briefly to make a quick to-go order, and I have to say — Victor at the front lobby was absolutely incredible! His food recommendations were spot on.
My husband loves tacos (especially carnitas), and the ones here were so delicious! He gave them a 10/10 and said he’ll probably ask for some hot sauce on the side next time — but overall, hands down amazing!
The pork quesadillas were also beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Even though my husband, son, and I agreed we’ll probably try something different next time, they were still so good — definitely worth trying at least once!
My husband’s a steak guy, so next time he’s going for the steak tacos, and my 16-year-old son (our chicken lover) will be getting the chicken quesadillas.
Now let’s talk about the queso — 10/10, family favorite! We’ll definitely be coming back weekly just for the chips and queso because all four of my boys absolutely loved it.
Victor also made me something special that he said people love — and wow, he was right! It had grilled chicken, shrimp (the best shrimp I’ve ever had — perfectly seasoned and cooked!), potatoes, veggies, rice, and a salad on the side. It was truly divine. Even my 1-year-old and 3-year-old loved every bite.
This place definitely earned a spot on our family’s favorites list!

We drive by twice not sure they were open. So glad we stopped. We love Mexican food and especially something different.
El Don is outstanding. The restaurant is hip and clean. Not overcrowded. Everyone was pleasant and professional.
We had the Birra pizza and the Volcano dip! Either one would have been a great meal for two. We just couldn’t help ourselves.

A great addition to Beaufort’s food scene! El Don takes pride in its service and trendy atmosphere. Our waiter was terrific with drink recommendations and the presentation was great. We’ve had the a la cart tacos (the el pastor is especially good), pizza birria, and chili verde. We were told all food is made in house and it shows. This place is great for a full dinner or just drinks! They have TVs with football on with a large bar. Highly recommend!

I went here about two weeks ago really hoping to enjoy it. The waitress was friendly, but my Nachos Al Carbon didn’t look right it came with meat on top but with very watery lettuce and wet nachos, so I only ate the meat. At one point, little flies appeared and landed on my food and salsa, which was very uncomfortable. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
