We’ve ordered from this restaurant for years and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had. The food was cold and incorrect, but the customer service was extremely rude and confrontational.
My chile relleno arrived completely cold, with unmelted cheese. When we called, instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, we were blamed and told we miscommunicated. We were then told to bring the food back just to have it reheated, which raised serious food safety concerns for us.
We also ordered three combination plates expecting beans and rice like we’ve always received, but instead were given just tacos. On top of that, we were charged for a large side of sauce that we never received.
Mistakes happen, but the way we were spoken to and the lack of concern for food quality and safety were unacceptable. We won’t be returning!!!

This place has such good food. The breakfast burritos are amazing here!! Maricela was a great hostess with a wonderful smile on her face and made us feel like we were eating at home! No long wait for the food either! 5/5 highly recommend!!!

“Atmosphere?” In a place that shares the room with a gas station/convenience store? No. It’s exactly what you’d expect. But I don’t eat ‘atmosphere,’ do you? Ask about their menu (surprisingly varied, including deserts) or especially their chow, which is first rate. There is a ‘specials’ menu, many items combined with the Coke brand drink of your choice (not Pepsi). Is it authentic? They have lingua, okay? It’s counter service. Eat here (or take out) seven days a week and never repeat your menu (unless you fall in love with the crispy taco plate).

No frills. Great food. Good prices. Generous portions. Good people. Best Mexican food in Redding, and best prices. Seniors or moderate eaters can split an order and be satisfied. We each had the 3 taco special the other day, and took enough home for another meal. I had fish tacos, and there was a nice chunk of fish in them. Not a fancy place, but we highly recommend. The pictures show the 3 taco specials minus 1 taco.

My daughter had the adobada at this place last night and became violently ill with all the classic symptoms of food poisoning (botulism) within an hour of finishing her meal. That is 100% unacceptable! I will be filing a complaint with shasta environmental health department so if you are the owner of this place and reading this review, you might consider revisiting your sanitary practices!
