The food here is consistently excellent. We have visited this restaurant many times for both breakfast and lunch, and it never disappoints. From the moment you arrive, the customer service stands out—everyone greets you with a warm smile and a genuinely friendly attitude. Service is impressively fast; we are always seated and served within minutes.
The menu is outstanding, but the sweet plantains are a personal favorite, and the pupusas are absolutely exceptional—rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. All I can say is, you truly have to give this place a try. You will not regret it.
If you would like, I can also tailor this review to sound more casual, more enthusiastic, or optimized for platforms like Google or Yelp.

Several times I have been to this restaurant for pupusas and tree out of five the service is questionable, my last experience today march 4th I visit the restaurant , Order a couple of pupusas and order of fry plantains a a cup of tea.
The plantains did nit take too long to arrived but after 40 minutes waiting for the rest of the order 2pupusas I asked about my order the waiter stared that it was on the blanch, I notice two other customers that had arrived at list fifteen minutes after me ,were being served their pupusas not too long after they had arrived, that’s when I asked one of the waitress about mine ,but no response , I decided to leave , just paying for the plantains.
I know for a fact that restaurants failed do the bad service.
I think I was patient enough .

Food was great. Had a very nice server. He was very polite and always had a smile. Only draw back was the wait for someone to come to the table. Place was super busy.

Food is great. They need new respectful, ATTENTIVE servers.

Trying to pay is such a hassle, I’m literally tracking down the server just to pay, and it takes them 20 min just to get back to me and give me my change.

The servers look like they don’t want to work there , they are taking orders like they hate their job. Trust me in this economy there are many others who would want that job.

I see the servers (male servers) without a smile and just ruining the energy of the restaurant.

One bad hire can destroy the productivity of the entire crew let alone the entire restaurants atmosphere.

The food was awesome! Haven’t had salvadorian food in way too long and this did not disappoint! Also, I love horchata salvadoreña, so it was a nice treat.

If you like authentic salvadorean food this place is it. I really enjoyed the customer service and the variety of dishes they have available along with great beverage options. I really enjoyed the pupusas and the chilate with nuegados served on a traditional salvadorean plating which was very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to coming back and bring the entire family with me.

I’m a sucker for Salvadoran comfort food and at El Cuscatlán in Hercules the pupusas are spot‑on, the aguas frescas hit the sweet spot, and the staff is friendly, but seating feels a bit cramped and service slows when it gets busy.

GET READY TO LOOSEN UP YOUR BELT!…
…..Former “Tazumal latin-fusion”, this place will satisfy the most demanding “paladares”!

If you havent tried salvadorean food, dont settle in trying anything BUT THIS PLACE!

PS. It can get loud and a little overwhelming… if youre in a bad mood, at first it might make you wanna leave…. that, of course until you get the food (lol). Get ready to wait around 30min or so after you place your order (on depending what you want).

4.9 stars out of 5 !!! —-THE BEST!—–
