It’s absolutely amazing when a restaurant can take average style chicken and make it great. This Alambre De Pollo dish was absolutely amazing and the chips are out of this world good both paired with a cheese dip that tops the average queso bowl as much as the chips do. The only complaint I could muster up is the bottled tea instead of brewed. The service was great, the meal was great and the atmosphere was very authentic.

as a south florida native, this food is as good as south florida mexican food. very flavorful, very affordable. have a lot more “traditional” food on the menu besides tacos and burritos. definitely get yourself an agua fresca!!

I’m basic so I only ordered tacos and margaritas. They were both very good especially the margaritas, the drinks were great: strong and tasty, you know sometimes drinks either too sweet full of syrup or toooooo strong that you can’t taste anything else but alcohol. I came here for the foods, and to me they’re great, atmosphere is not like traditional Mexican restaurants but to me I’m fine with it.
Update: still very tasty and great!!! I ordered their mixed fajitas and it’s fresh and a lot. Again, their protein is not dry and not covered by excessive seasoning!!! Yummmmm!!!! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

Really good Mexican food here!
Have been here three times in a week since I found this spot! Good portions great value, friendly service, good price! You should try it out by yourself! We tried different dishes from tacos, to soups and fajitas, everything were wonderful, and we love their margaritas as well!
My picky-eater kids like their chickens and cheese dips, the meats here are very juicy and not too dry (not like other places that over marinate their old meats to cover the old meat taste, IYKYK).

February 13, 2023: Was looking for the dish/soup Pozole Verde and based on recommendations found out El Cubilete offered the dish. I did visit a year ago and wasn’t really impressed, but everyplace deserves a second chance. I was greeted by Nicole who got me seated and brought some homemade chips & salsa with my beer. I ordered the Pozole Verde (chicken version) and when she delivered it the bowl was HUGE. On the side you can add onions, jalapeños, cilantro, etc. to customize the soup to your tastes and heat level. I did find it odd that they gave you lettuce versus cabbage which is what is normally provided. My experience with Pozole is limited but this soup was delicious. The broth/base was hearty and flavorful with just enough heat to allow you to enjoy the various flavors but not overwhelming the soup. The hominy was perfectly cooked al dente and the chicken was large chunks of tender white meat nicely seasoned. I might have made it through half the bowl and took the rest home…I can’t wait to see how it tastes after sitting overnight. This is a really good soup and is a meal designed to fill you up. I’m very glad I came back again, the food was great and the service from Nicole was wonderful!
February 2022: Visited the newly opened fourth location for this restaurant. I ordered the Fajita Mixa (chicken, steak, and shrimp) with the fixings. Overall…disappointed. The steak was tough, the shrimp wasn’t good, and the overall dish was bland and had no real flavor. The first time ever I added salt and pepper to a Mexican dish to give it more flavor. The waitress did bring two bottles of sauce neither of which were marked, one extremely hot and one bland. There is no complimentary chips & salsa, and the handle of the fajita skillet was not covered…dangerous. There are MUCH better options for Mexican food in Murfreesboro.

The drinks were good! Chips were good too the salsa need salt..the food was good the mole and the guaraches were good but the pollo loco was not my favorite the chicken was wired I don’t know how to describe it. I was rubbery,squishy, too soft and didn’t smell good it was just wired.. My stomach got upset a little after eating it.

I went there last night around 8:30. I tried to place a to go order for 1 taco plate, 1 separate taco and 1 order of beans. I said this 6 or 7 times. The cashier barely spoke English. The cashier asked another server. She barely spoke English either. When I got my food they gave me 8 tacos and a container of beans. I tried to explain again it was wrong. No one who worked there understood English well enough to understand what I was trying to order. When I went back and told the manager, Pedro, he talked to the girl who took the order but since I don’t speak Spanish, I don’t know what was said. He just kept telling me “you got 8 tacos. Why didn’t you give them back if it wasn’t what you ordered.” He was obviously annoyed and didn’t seem like he wanted to make it right. The initial problem as I see it, was a language barrier but his attitude and demeanor was rude and dismissive. He didn’t seem to care about keeping a regular customer. He lost this one for sure.

Fantastic food that is extremely authentic and very flavorful. The manager at this location is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. The restaurant has been clean every time my family has visited, and the portions are very large for the price. It’s the closest I’ve gotten to truly authentic Mexican food since my time living in South Texas.

This place is amazing! Great atmosphere, friendly service, excellent food! Dine in is enjoyable and they explain things on the menu that may be new to you. You go to the register to pay, which I love, because it doesn’t feel like they are forcing out with the bill at the table. Amazing agua frescas as well!
