El Cubinito is a very good Cuban restaurant in Port Saint Lucie. They have an excellent atmosphere and the service is good too. The Cuban sandwich is superb. As is the colada (Cuban espresso). The empanada”s are very tasty. I gave 4 stars due to the chicken being way to dry and not juicy, and the bathroom being messy. However, the place is still very nice and I still go there every few months.

I’m Cuban from Miami. I know my Cuban food. We visited today for the first time and we had the worst Cuban sandwich ever. They used the wrong bread loaded with some cheap oil. Some pulled pork and ham that didn’t have much flavor and dry. We also ordered the ham croquettes and they were the frozen ones that you get in a box at the supermarket. I think the people running this place now are not Cubans. Our server definitely wasn’t. We’re not coming back.

The food and the staff here is lovely I would like to suggest that these nice folks change the lighting and add more decorations inside the dining room. I build restaurants professionally. You want to get the lighting in the 2700K range for starters. You have great food, fair prices and nice people serving. Just a little adjustment on the interior experience will add to the charm and appeal that keeps people coming back

I read so many bad reviews, that I decided to go to find out if they were true or not … and I want to tell you that IT IS NOT TRUE! Here you eat rich, large portions, the chicken soups were tasty. The waitresses very attentive and the place clean. I had not eaten fried pork masitas as delicious as the ones they make here at El Cubanito Restaurant. The juicy pork chops with good flavor and the beans not to mention it … so if you want to eat delicious Cuban food, you have to go to this restaurant.
Recommended 100%!

This is my favorite Latin place in the area. I am Cuban, raised in Miami, raised by my Cuban grandparents. This place makes me feel like I’m back home eating grandpa’s cooking. I love coming back here.
I have had all kinds of food here: chicken soup, croquetta sandwiche, steak sandwich, pork chunks, chicken chunks, mojo chicken and more. I haven’t had anything that didn’t taste delicious or true Cuban.

We walked in , the place was nice and clean, and cuban music played in the background. The atmosphere reminded me of Mia. We were sitted quickly, no waiting. Being cuban myself and living in Miami all my life, my expectations are quite high. The test is if a cuban restaurant can make a good cubano sandwich, then the rest of their food is good. We ordered the Cubano sandwich and a Corqueta Perparada. The Cubano had good flavor, and the pork was a little dried, and there was not enough ham to the ratio of pork to bread. Mustard is a staple to this sandwich, and it was lacking also the wrong bread was used. The corqueta preparada was tasty and also needed more ham, this sandwich, and a lack mustard. The bread should have been traditional cuban bread. The tostones were good, thin, and crispy. Overall, I will come again to try other plates from their menu.

Well, being from Miami, real Cuban food north of Broward county is hard to come by. And some places aren’t true Cuban. El Cubanito is legit Cuban. The entire menu is that of a Cuban restaurant in Miami. The vaca frita was fantastic. On a previous visit, I had the ropa vieja, and that was great as well. Even the café con Leche was done right.

This is one of the worst managed restaurant in town! I called them nine times and nobody answers the phone and then about a half hour later I give them a call and they answer and when I asked him why they don’t answer the phone they said that they are on the other line taking orders and they cannot hang up on someone to answer someone else! When I told the senorita that she can use the hold button and just tell the other person to hold on because she’s taking an order, she looked at me like I was from Mars, then when I asked them if they don’t put any kind of utensils for a takeout order, they said that they don’t put utensils in unless people ask for them! It’s so sad because the food is great but the service is almost like I’m in a third world country! Most of those young waitresses have nasty attitudes I don’t know how they still work there, I’m pretty sure that this is a family restaurant

I ordered 3 Cuban sandwiches at $12 each takeout, it doesn’t come with anything, no chips, no silverware, no napkins, and you get Attitude from the skinny girl at the counter. No thank you, nothing. I won’t be coming back here. This was Saturday at around 3:30 in the afternoon.

This place has all the flavors you can imagine from a real home cooked Cuban meal. Went on a Sunday for dinner, not to busy and we were seated immediately. The staff was very nice and friendly. We had the mariquitas appetizers (fresh & delicous) with two garlic dipping sauce, Ropa Vieja (shredded beef) and the Pargito frito (whole fry red snapper), both came with 3 sides of choice. Great taste and enough for doggy bags. Also very reasonable $$ Will definitely be back and highly recommend if you like Cuban food
