My wife and kids invited me to El Coyote for my birthday dinner, and it was such a great experience! The last time I visited was back in 2021 for my son’s high school graduation, so it felt really special to come back for another meaningful family celebration.

The service was excellent. Our food came out right on time, fresh and delicious. What really impressed me was the bartender — he was handling everything on his own, taking care of both the bar and the tables, and still managed to stay professional, attentive, and friendly the entire time. That level of multitasking and dedication truly stood out.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you, El Coyote, for helping make my birthday celebration memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

First time here. Inviting atmosphere. Staff is very friendly wanting to ensure we understood the menus.
Sauces are bright, light and fresh tasting.
Large portions. Chicken and beef are tender and juicy.
Would accommodate a nice date night, family dinner or even a business lunch.

For note, I have been here for both sit down and take out before where experiences were good, food great but service hit or miss depending on the day or amount of people in your party.

Ordered take out from there not too long ago, first off I got there after the ready time that was listed on the order confirmation. Not only was the order not ready when I arrived (Again, after the order ready time) but was first told by a man that appeared to be a manager that I had “already picked up the order”. For the record, this was ordered through the restaurants website not a 3rd party site, did not ever select delivery (order confirmation confirmed it was set to pickup) and I was the one that placed the order. But after that “issue” was solved, it was determined that not only was the order was not even started, the manager tried to pass off the issue as “we did not get the order” however I saw him specifically on the online order tablet ipad thing most restaurants have (for reference where it is located, if looking at bar from entrance, its in a kiosk thing on right wall), but he was tapping away and as that happened I got a notification instantly on my phone that my order was just then received and it would be about 10 minutes clearly showing nobody was paying attention and missed my order completely. Manager came back over trying to pass this whole rouse off, I was cordial because I still wanted the food that I had paid for and had family waiting at home that wanted this food.

Manager asked if I wanted a drink, I said yes and I happily sat down at the bar. Not only did nobody come over to ask for a drink order, the manager himself who was working the bar served the ONLY TWO other people at the bar multiple times and never even looked at me. Got my food about 20 minutes after arrival, manager never looked at me again, never apologized for their clear error but also never owned up to it. I am not particular about places and hate to complain but when one falls short on several fronts at once and doesnt even acknowledge or try to ensure that the rest of the experience is at least meeting basic expectations is absolutely wild.

Food was good, I will say that, but I was waiting far longer than expected and extremely disappointed and how little customer service there was in a situation that was a result of the staff just not paying attention or being selectively caring of customers. Taking time off from El Coyote

We do like going here, it is close to home and most of the time, the food is good. There is never a consistent experience here. Sometimes the food is on point, but the service isn’t what we would like.

As a vegetarian, I asked about the beans to be sure it wasn’t cooked with chicken stock. I appreciated that they said they were and therefore my burrito was made without beans. Confusing, because in the past they said they weren’t cooked with it.

The burrito ended up being mostly salad and rice in the tortilla wrap. It was meant to be vegetables, but there were a few pieces of zucchini and carrots and what looked like lettuce and chopped tomatoes. It tasted good, but I expected more vegetables to make it substantial.

The salsa was spicy, even to me. When I asked, they said they didn’t have a milder one.

Hubby liked his food, so for you meat eaters it’s a go.

He wasn’t pleased with the service this time.

The young lady who greeted us at the door was so personable and happy to greet us. Thanks for that ray of sunshine.

We’ve dined at EL-COYOTE RESTAURANT several times, and we’re always impressed with the meals. The food is incredibly authentic and flavorful. The jalapeño poppers are a must-try—unlike anything you’ve ever tasted! Parking is a breeze, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is vibrant and fun, reflecting the charm of a true family business. We highly recommend EL-COYOTE RESTAURANT to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

Depending who you ask, they’ll say this food is really authentic & rich in culture. It’s Tex-Mex for the most part, nothing too exciting if you were looking for something really authentic. Service upon arrival until we left was top-tier. Greeted with warm service & the staff was very attentive through the night. Prices were very fair for this economy, however, the taste of food & drinks left much to be desired. Can’t say I am convinced I will come back to dine here, perhaps 1 visit was enough.

We came with a large group (31). The parking lot situation appears very limited at first glance but there are multiple platforms ascending up the hillside behind the restaurant. The restaurant has a room toward the back that was able to accommodate the group on one long table. The food is delicious. I had a three item combo platter with taco, burrito, and enchilada. The rice and beans is served in a unique fashion. The staff struggled a little with serving the large group, but they tried very hard to get things right. Overall a very good experience. I would definitely come here again.
