Decided to try this place out today. WILL NEVER BE BACK! My boyfriend had a bite of his food in his mouth and thought he bit into a chicken bone. He spit it out to find a safety pin!
When called our server over to show what he had bitten down on she took our plates away. We sat and watched for a few minutes as the staff talked about our plate and the pin. They were pointing and messing with their aprons hanging on the wall. So it came from an apron I guess? Our sever walked to a table behind us to clean it and as she did she said, “you guys are good. It’s ok.”
I am shocked by the attitude towards this occurrence. A simple, “You guys are good,” just doesn’t cover it!
I waited at the table a few more minutes reeling from what had happened and the lack of concern over it. A few more minutes later the server walked by again and told us we were good to go, they didn’t know how it happened and they were sorry. No manager ever came to say a word to us and it almost seemed like they just wanted us to leave without addressing it.
So we left, uneasy over the food we had ingested and shocked by the lack of concern over this happening.

Small local restaurant serves typical Mexican food. Staff are friendly, reasonable portion per dish.

I just want to say that we had approached this gem at night, it’s parking lot was dimly lit by only the light from one post and the building. As we approached, we couldn’t tell whether Google lead us to the wrong spot. It turned out it didn’t. Initially we judged the book by its cover and considered not going in. We bit the bullet and boy were happy. Before ordering the waitress gave us a stack of chips with a medium salsa. I asked for a Coke which was served in a can with a glass of ice. We were also given cups of water. My wife had chicken fajitas, which came sizzling hot. I had the #30, beef enchilada and chimichanga, which came with refried beans and rice. The chimichanga had lettuce over the top. Both dishes were wonderful, the staff and service was great, and run by what seemed like a small family. I would definitely come here again next time we are on the island. My wife wanted to add that she had not had enchilada sauce quite like it before. It was unique and authentic twist, and yes we shared each other’s dishes.

This was my first time here. To start things off the website says they opened at 11:30am. We arrived at 11:35pm and she was just walking from the parking lot to open up. When we went in to eat, she made us feel unwanted. She never once smiled. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant where the food had absolutely no flavor, including the rice and beans. We asked for a pop to drink, and she brought out two cans of soda. For the price of the soda, I was not expecting a can of soda. We also waited over 45 minutes for us to get our food, and we we’re the only ones in the entire restaurant. The restaurant decor is very outdated and things we’re very dusty. There wasn’t much lighting, and there was clutter everywhere you looked. She only came back to our table to give us our check to tell us to pay at the front counter. We wanted to split the check, and she grabbed my friends card and put the total bill on his card before we could even finish telling her what we wanted to do. Then, to top everything off, as soon as we both got home from eating there, we both got sick and had to go to the bathroom multiple times. I would not recommend this place.

Nice Mexican… with good food. Place was hard to get to and looks a little rundown. But once you’re in.. the vibes are different. The lady there was very polite.. great service. Beers are cheaper as compared to other places. You could probably have one more than usual. 😉

My family, particularly my Mother and Father use to go to this place and had been since 1985. Very devoted customers and were treated well. Since moving here permanently myself, I was looking forward to patronizing this restaurant myself since I love Mexican food. During the pandemic, I called for take out and could tell I was speaking with the daughter. She took my order and while I was heading down to pick up my order, I lost my vision and my sight was blurry….I was going to get a severe migraine in about 20 minutes and I’m on the side of the hwy, unable to drive. Called my son to help and come get me. I called them quickly to tell them what has happened and the daughter told me “you can’t cancel the order now, it’s too late. If you don’t come get it, you will never be able to order here again and were documenting your number.!” I was so shocked, I just broke down in tears….never thought anyone could be so cruel in a time of need. As you can imagine, I consider them closed and could never order there again. The daughter is very rude and she’s a bully. But Patron rocks, so I still can enjoy great food and wonderful people.

We were just passing by while on vacation. This was the worst mexican food I’ve ever had. It was salty and obviously not fresh. The beans were dried out and crusty. We couldn’t even finish the food. This is microwaved food from a can.
I gave them 3 stars because the service was great! There was only one server and she had 5-6 tables going with people coming in and she rocked it. She stayed calm and made it all happen with a smile on her face. Another guy started helping her and he was also friendly and helpful.

My first time at this little local restaurant. I was pleased by the better-than-average flavor. I had a tasty relleno and enchilada combo dinner. Even the rice and beans were a little better than I have had other places. I’ll surely go back. I hear lunch hour is crowded!

Wanted picadillo tacos and they were exactly the same as they have been for 30 years; very satisfying. I love that this place has been owned and operated by the same family since its inception, many years ago. Baby daughter now works as a waitress and is very attentive and sweet natured. Great family and good food. Is there more? Thanks.

So good!
It’s Valentine’s weekend and we’re here at a B&B. Snow starts to come down last night so almost everywhere is closed and canceled today. We still need to figure out something warm for dinner. We start driving and hit 3 straight places that are already closed before we spot El Corral. They were closed – but only just by a couple minutes – and let us order anyway! Made us some dang yum burritos and a hot bag of chips±salsa. Saved the night!
Thank you!
