This place was top notch in customer service!!. Walked in and was greeted by staff. Handed a menu and asked for my drink. From that initial contact to my food hitting my table was literally 7min!!! They were so fast and they were busy as well. Checked on me atleasy 3 times prior to me leaving. I tipped very well. I enjoyed every bit of this establishment.

Looking for Mexican cuisine in the northwest are of Houston, near Cypress? There are dozens of options and one that I have visited and recommend is El Corral Mexican Grill & Bar.
Approaching El Corral from its Eldridge location, it’s easy to find. El Corral has a house- like appearance, with a triangular roof. The interior of El Corral is larger than expected, with capacity to seat about one- hundred customers. There is a full bar on one side, but it’s not so large that it takes up too much space. It seems just right. Mexican music plays in the background, which adds to the authenticity.
El Corral offers a good assortment of Mexican and Tex Mex options. Most of the meals include a small salad, along with the traditional sides of rice and beans. The salad is simple, but it’s a nice addition to the food and it’s served on the plate with the other items. They serve everyone chips and salsa upon arrival, and it’s spicy, but only slightly. The red sauce is fine, but I liked the green even better. Again, it has some kick, but only slightly.
Food served at El Corral is quite good, and the serving portions are generous. The food is authentic and fresher than that served at some other Mexican restaurants in the area. They have lunch specials, too, with generous servings for a more than fair price. There is a kid’s menu, and breakfast food as well.
El Corral is close to my work, so coming here for lunch makes sense for me. And because of its large size, there should be no problem finding a table for a midday meal. I like what I have experienced, and I recommend a visit if you’re looking for tasty Mexican food, a nice atmosphere, easy parking, and friendly service.

Y’all, El Corral Mexican Grill and Bar is a gem! The waitresses are super kind and courteous, making the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. I had the fajita plate with salad, refried beans, and rice, and it hit the spot! Food was good, and the place was sparkling clean. If you’re craving Mexican food, check ’em out!

Hey hey y’all!!! Its been a while that I’ve written a review! Sooooooooooo… this place is amazing! My grandma definitely enjoyed it! She loved the taste of the fajitas! And I’m not gonna lie I tried it and it was good! I’m very picky when it comes to ordering fajitas at places I’m not used to. I feel like the beef has a very weird after taste… so I usually opt out to getting the chicken fajita! I personally got a mixed plate. It was 2 cheese enchiladas with a hard shell taco with rice and beans! Y’all my plate did not disappoint! I finished all my food. Lol. My husband ordered the Tampicaña and he devoured his plate! If y’all are in the area y’all should give it a try.

So happy I found El Corral! I love caldo de pollo with chicken breast and they have it here; not everyone serves it with chicken breast. Their caldo and menudo were so full of flavor! Service was great and our server had a great and positive attitude! We will be back!

VERY disappointed that a person can spend over $40 on a to-go order of fajitas for two with no drinks and yet you still do not provide even a small bag of chips and small salsa to get a little bit of a crunch with a meal. There are far too many good Tex-Mex restaurants in the area who do provide that. I think it might be a little shortsighted to not at least consider if a person pays over a certain amount, such as maybe $30, on a to-go order that you would provide at least the equivalent of a half of a tray of chips with a little saucer of salsa.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The best Caldos, Menudo, and Chicken tortilla soup.

This is my first time here, but I’ve passed by quite a few times. I had lunch with a friend, and I really enjoyed the food. Great service, with a nice environment. I look forward to stopping by again in the future!

This is my first visit and the place did not disappoint. I had lunch special and the price was very good ! The food was delivered quickly and it was very fresh and well prepared ! I also asked for more food , food “to go” to work . I didn’t like their chips and salsa . The complimentary chips were not very fresh and salsa was ok The restaurant is not fancy but well decorated in TX style. The restaurant appeared clean and staff was wearing green and purple uniforms. They had Mexican music playing. The service was exceptional! I will be back !
