The things that immediately drew me in upon arrival were the loud & friendly greetings, the cleanliness of the sitting area & behind the counter, and the food displays. While I didn’t get any food for myself the Jamaica Sorrell was refreshing and sweetened to perfection. The 2 plates I did get were loaded and the menu is filled with freshly-cooked AUTHENTIC Latin- Caribbean staples at affordable prices. This is NOT tex-mex; you want flavor & homestyle island plates…. eat here! I didn’t check out the bathroom on this visit…. I will during a return visit. Tallahassee has scored a big gem with the Latin food in this place! Def recommend if you like Dominican food with criollo style! I had the stewed beef with rice and beans and it was mouth watering. Big portions too!!

Wow! This place was so good. I got the arroz con gandules, the stewed beef and three pastelitos (beef, chicken and guava & cheese). The stewed beef was my favorite because it reminded me of my mom’s Colombian sudado but everything was well seasoned and cooked well. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend.

This was my second visit, I got the smothered beef tongue, and meatballs, with fried rice. I’m very impressed, they put 100% love in each dish, if you want Latin soul food, this is the place to go. Thanks again 🙂

Delicious authentic latin food in Tallahassee!! Must try!! The food, service and environment was 10 out of 10. I loved the variety of options and also their pastries. Everything was cooked to perfection. Their delivery service is also very convenient. Will definitely be back for more soon.

This new latin restaurant in Tallahassee is a little secret that everyone will know about soon! Everything I ate was fresh, had alot of flavor, and was seasoned nicely. I had the rice with pigeon peas, oxtail stew, blackened roast beef, and one of the veggie sides. The buffet had alot of choices… about 5 or 6 different meat and chicken dishes, two types of rice, plus sides like pasta salad and coleslaw. They even have delivery and catering, which makes it even better. Check this place out if you are looking for homemade and delicious latin food!
