Great food, very nice wait staff, fun ambiance. Whenever we vacation, we hit the local Mexican joint first night. We both had burrito Verde. The tomatillo sauce was spot on, I also had a chicken enchilada. The burrito was loaded with pork chunks, and there was plenty of chicken in the enchilada. The service was cheerful and efficient. We’ll be going back for more before we move on!

Very nice traditional Mexican if you’re coming in or out of Mount St. Helens to see the visitor center or spending some time in the park. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was plenty delicious and the price was reasonable. The atmosphere is classic Mexican restaurant with fun Mexican music playing throughout with a nice decor of parrots and some fun murals.

This is a great place to stop on your way out east or back from the mountain. My family and a friend and I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately, even though the place was pretty busy. Food came quick and everything was delicious. Portion sizes were pretty big too. The building is a bit older and may have been some kind of a store in the past (the front is floor-to-ceiling windows), but they make the most of it. Pricing is pretty good too.

We went to Mount St. Helens today; wanted to eat in Castle Rock. Most places were closed, did not want to do fast food, Saw the El Compadre parking lot had lots of cars at 2:15 PM; locals vote with their tires. We got take out, they gave us the whole deal, chips, dipping salsa, our meals came with the entree, guacamole, lettuce, refried beans, Spanish rice, very hearty portions, none of us finished our platters. Cost was about $10 each. Great taste, great value.

The service was pretty good at this restaurant. We stopped by as we were going to Mount Saint Helens. The order takers had a hard time understanding my order and I had to explain it a few times. But in the end, the food came out. They brought it out to us in a tray and everything was very well packed. It was also very delicious. I would highly recommend.
