Enjoyed this little spot located in a sort of strip mall. Had the Cameron bechemel and it was divine. Creamy, flavorful but not overwhelming. The rice and beans were so so as were the chips and salsa. The cocktails are hit or miss. The first peach punch was perfect, not too sweet and just the right amount of vodka. I ordered a second after our meal and it tasted like what I’d imagine drinking rubbing alcohol would be. The staff was great. We were seated right away and checked in with often. There plenty of parking and even on a weekend evening there was lots of seating around 7pm.

Beautiful and inviting inside. Very comfortable chairs. Plenty of space between tables. As far as my husband, family and I are concerned, this is the best restaurant in Tucson and the prices are very fair, considering that the food is absolutely delicious! So many options. Service has always been wonderful. We have had lunches and dinners many times! This is where we take our guests that visit us in Tucson!

The chicken mole negro was absolutely fantastic! We had appetizers of tamales picados, red and green, yummy . Also had Gueros Fantasia. The chilis and bacon wrapped shrimp were appetizing and presentation was appealing. I
will be coming back to this gem again and again.

I hadn’t eaten here in years, but I’ll definitely be back real soon. I forgot how much I like. This place bit of a drive for me in Oro Valley. I had the Carne Seca and a Tyra Banks. Excellent tortillas. Salsa is delicious. Moved to the top of my list for Mexican Food.

Really kind and attentive service and good food! I got the chicken poblano bechamel with cream. The sauce on the chicken was very delicious. The chicken was slightly dry but overall I really enjoyed my meal. Guac was also a hit at the table. I’d be back to this place for sure, as it has a more unique menu than your classic Mexican place. Atmosphere was quiet but I was there at old people dinner time so I would have been surprised if there were more than a couple other people there.

First time and excellent service. The margaritas were amazing. The calamares appetizer was perfectly cooked as well as the shrimp in butter . All excellently prepared and delicious. We are going back soon…

We were in town for the holidays and delighted that we found this place. Came in on a Wednesday evening expecting something decent but we were very pleased from the time we walked in, til we walked out. The service was excellent… just the right balance of attentiveness and giving us our space.

The Cadillac Margaritas were perfect, no bar mix in the drinks, fresh and potent. We had the tamale’ appetizer dish… verde went to him and he commented on the sweetness and freshness of the masa. I had the red tamales and loved the slight bite of the sauce.

For dinner we both had chimis ‘enchilada-style’, him verde and me red sauce. The shells were well prepared, flaky and fresh, and the pork had been seasoned with clove. So good!

For afters we shared a coconut flan, which was lovely, and another round of margaritas.

I recommend this place very highly… pleasant staff, excellent food, no rush. A lovely evening!

El Cisne is unique in that it’s a fine dining Mexican restaurant (which there aren’t that many of). That being said, I would say the experience and price factors in the atmosphere more than exceptional food. I enjoyed what I had (Pescado Frito- fried red snapper), but it wasn’t any better than similar dishes I’ve had elsewhere for a lower price. I have the same opinion toward the salsa and tortillas. The service was fine and mostly left me to myself, which I prefer. If you want a fine dining experience while having Mexican cuisine, El Cisne offers that, but don’t expect to be blown away by the food

Best salsa and best chile Reno. I brought some friends from out of town and we went through so much salsa. They want to visit just to get more.

The food is so delicious.
They have really great prices on their lunch menu.
The servers are nice.

I love how the restaurant is decorated inside as well.
