Real Mexican food in Lincoln? Yes, indeed! When most of the customers and staff are speaking Español, you know it’s likely to be authentic and delicious.

They offer both dine-in table service and takeout. The setting is casual and family-friendly. It’s conveniently located right next to the Carniceria El Pueblito.

Fair prices, great food, and friendly staff.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 – ordered #14 of Cinco Tacos with Lengua and #15 Burrito with Lengua as well since there’s no extra charge for tongue! The lengua was tender and flavorful, the tortilla nicely heated without being oily, and the burrito itself well made with good ratio of filling.

Service: 5/5 – friendly and quick service.

Ambiance: n/a – ordered food to go.

Value for price: 5/5 – randomly found this place just needing a bite to eat but the food was great, price is reasonable, and service is quick!

The place is a run-down hole in the wall, but sometimes those little run-down hole in the wall places are the best. so we gave it a try no it wasn’t the best. the food was just OK, the staff were friendly, My biggest problem was it seemed like we weir just not welcome there. There was a table of Mexican dudes mean muggin my friend and I the whole time we ate our dinner. Now I understand that restaurant can’t really control what their customers do. However, we just had a general feeling that we were not welcome. Not to mention the children running around unattended. (I think the children belonged to the employees)
In short, it was not a very comfortable environment there.

The staff was nice and for the price the food was good. The Salsa was fresh. The Margarita was okay. They just use basic Margarita mix. But for everything we got, I felt like it was well the money we paid. I would go back.

Took a chance on this restaurant while in town. This is a smaller restaurant and not a big franchise so keep that in mind when visiting. With that aside the food was top notch. The price was also great. If you are in town and some some great Mexican food and not Taco Bell this is the place.

Delicious! I got the shrimp fajitas. Chips and salsa, refried beans, rice, shrimp fajitas, yummm. Everything was so good. Homemade corn tortillas. Best Mexican food I’ve had in a while. Salsa was a tad too spicy for me though as I don’t have a high tolerance for spice unfortunately. When I asked if they had milder salsa she said that’s all they had. That’s ok I still ate the heck out of it and suffered through because it tasted so good. Will absolutely come here again!!!

Ordered the huarache with ground beef, later the waitress came back to ask if I wanted that with tomato and onion. Seemed strange, and she repeated the order like she didn’t know what I had said earlier. Later when paying at the counter it just seemed weird; no eye contact, no “thank you” or “was everything ok” etc. And there was an unanounced extra charge of $1.50 for using a credit card which wasn’t on the receipt. Had cash with me and would have used it. Then the cashier left and a younger attendant finished the job with a smile. Thank you for that, I may return if it’s not a problem. It is a place I drive by most week days.

I go to Lincoln a few times a week to visit loved ones and usually grab something to go on my way back to the interstate. First visit was about three weeks ago and have now been there four times, each time to go. The staff is friendly. Food is good for the most part. The menu has a great amount of options. The price for what you get is excellent. It is a little cheaper when paying cash Twice they didn’t include sour cream on a menu item that states it’s included. I will still be back to try different items.

Cielito Lindo has become one of my go to places when craving REAL authentic Mexican food. When ordering Chile Colorado or Chile verde it is indeed spicy and not watered down. Service is fast, it’s cheap and food is delicious. Portions are big and aguas frescas are a must have. I’ve had their tacos and tortas as well and they are very tasty. I do give it 4 stars because the chips can come out stale or just a little too hard.
