I went to the one in Soquel with parking in the rear a plus. Best Mex in Capitola or Soquel. Small, cozy and private. Steady business with locals all night. Dinner was Tinga (spicy chipotle chicken) with authentic rice and beans. Wife really enjoyed her combo plate as well.

Thick deep fried chips with pico de gallo salsa but I requested the hotter salsa, delicious!!!

Absolutely and completely fantastic and amazing food. So authentic and full of flavor! Very clean inside, quick service and plenty of varieties of salsa at the salsa bar. Cannot recommend highly enough! If I could give it 10 stars, I would.!!

I got the bacon breakfast burrito to go and it was delicious! The serving size was huge and I could have easily shared it with someone else. The cashier was friendly and we got our food quick. Will definitely be back when in the area again! The restaurant is also super close to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk so you can take the food to the beach to enjoy.

Susi is just a joy, warm, welcoming, and happy to explain restaurant favorites. Salmon was good, Cameron’s ranchero great… sauce delicious. The Chavala is soooooo good, imagine a extra fancy Michelada with celery, orange, and 3 grilled shrimp. Everything was so well priced. They’re open into 8pm.

Birria-queso tacos are amazing, but not on the menu. Carne asada was also extremely good. Very fresh and the Birria isn’t drippy greasy – thank goodness.
A little overpriced for what you get but the quality is there.

I love Mexican food, so it doesn’t matter what town I’m in, if there’s a taqueria, I’m stopping. Took our food to go. Brought it back to our hotel rooms to enjoy. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and family oriented. Food was on point, good texture, and tasted home made. Kids were happy we stopped in.

My family and I love Mexican food and this restaurant was a great treat for us. It was a short walk from the boardwalk so it was very convenient. The food was excellent and priced well for families. Wow! Amazing food with top-notch quality and texture. As someone from LA who’s had my fair share of tacos and quesabirria, I can honestly say this place ranks among the best I’ve ever had! The quesabirria was perfectly crunchy and packed with flavor, and the cheese was melted to perfection. The tacos themselves were great too – the tortilla was neither oily nor falling apart, which made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back for more!
