El Chingón is hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in town! The food was incredibly flavorful — every bite was fresh, seasoned perfectly, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they really care about what they’re serving.
The service was just as impressive. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in.
We used to always go to another local spot, but it honestly started slipping, so we decided to try El Chingón… and wow. It completely blows anywhere else around here out of the water! This is officially our new go-to. Highly recommend!

This rating is solely based on food. I asked a friend to pickup lunch while we waited at the vets office. I had the fried quesadilla and an order of chips and quac. It was filled with all the good things an paired the best with the green hot sauce. I tried a bite of the Tropical burger and fries. Good stuff. Ill be back from Dallas to try more soon.

The sandwich was toasted perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft inside, with melted cheese that paired amazingly with the shrimp. The fries were golden, fresh, and seasoned just right, and the dipping sauces took everything to another level.
Overall, the portion size, taste, and presentation were spot on. This is the kind of meal you crave again the moment you finish it. Highly recommended — I’d come back just for this shrimp grill alone.

Excellent experience. Although my first time I tried to visit beforethey were closed during business hours. But I gave them another try and wasn’t disappointed. We had birria tacos, birria bomb, bowl of the asada, a shrimp sorta, and Guacamole. Along with the variety of 7 sauces they had all equally tasty. The Guacamole had cucumber which was different. Food was served quickly and the staff were friendly.

Fried quesadilla is a delicious. Queso is wonderful and the salsa too! The owners are kind and professional. When I told her I don’t eat meat she recommended some options that would work as vegetarian. Highly recommend!

My husband and I tried this place for the first time two weeks ago and I’ve been back twice since. The food is SO GOOD. The inside is small but it’s been super clean every time I’ve been in and they even have a serve yourself salsa bar. In addition the woman working the register has been so kind, so much so she came and opened the door for me as I was leaving. (My hands were full with a car seat and a to go order.) The best little hidden gem I’ve found since moving to Durant!!

This is the BEST new restaurant Durant has gotten in YEARS! I have tried several things on the menu and have never been disappointed. I usually get it to go and at other places it can be not as good if you get it to go. Not the case here! It is always so good!

I was just here with a buddy who lives in Durant. I had the Birria Bombs and holy smokes! That was some of the best Mexican food I have had North of Anna, TX. Their mega burrito was also top notch dish. 5 stars on Food/Service 4 stars for Atmosphere because we gonna need some wall or table lamps for better lighting at the table.
But definitely worth a visit or 2, hell maybe 3 or 4 times lol.

This place is phenomenal, Even to go the food is always hot and delicious. They add such an amazing topping to the loaded hot dog. I have also tried lots of their other foods and have not been disappointed yet!
