This is literally our favorite place to eat! Small and quiet setting. Great service and the food….. simply no words. It is delicious! With so many questionable establishments with even more questionable service, El Chele takes the guesswork out of the equation! Highly recommend this place to everyone!

This was just the best tasting food I’ve had in the longest time. Upon looking at the menu it looks as though your getting American food. But oh no! We had some phenomenal cabbage with our Pupusas. Omgosh so tasty!! I had the Yuca Frita wow…..thats was so tasty from the pork to the yuca. My wife had the cheese steak sandwich. She could not get enough of her sandwich. Please come by and try this place!!!

A great stop over on a way from our spring break trip. Easily accommodated a group of eight including children. Never had a Salvadoran food before and truly enjoyed tasty dishes. We had seafood soup, seafood rice, tasty palisad and fish dish. Also interesting and refreshing tamarind drink. Very nice and friendly owners. Kids friendly place. It was a refreshing spot after having eaten typical American fare for too long while on the road.

El Chele was fabulous! The service was friendly and the food was great. We had 3 different types of papusas– impossible to pick a favorite– and the fried tilapia with seafood rice. It was a whole fried fish and homemade tortillas, and the rice had squid, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and onions. Lots of to-go orders were heading out the door, but dining in was great too.

If you are looking for good Salvadorian food, this place has freshly made pupusas and tasty Salvadorean seafood soup with fish, mussels, octopus, and clams in a buttery sauce. The yucca frita plate is really good and the fried pork just falls from the bones.

Ordered take out via their website (Although they also have indoor & Outdoor dining!). The food was ready when I arrived and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The food itself was amazing and super flavorful. The portions are great as well. There’s lots of interesting dishes and their website even has photos of their actual dishes, which was really helpful in ordering if you’re like myself and not familiar with Salvadoran cuisine.
I tried the Arrachera and Shrimp dinner (Pictured below) and the steak was so flavorful and tender, the homemade tortillas were thick & soft and even the rice was delicious! I also tried the pork & cheese Pupusas, which were to die for. They have many other filing options for them as well, like jalapeno & cheese, zucchini & Cheese, bean and cheese, etc… This place is certainly a hidden jewel in Moses Lake and something very unique for this side of the mountains. I hope they stick around for a long time.

Papusas were delicious, the Steak and cheese sandwich was also very good. This place is our go to place in Moses Lake when nothing else sounds good. El Chele always has a Salvadoran dish that is new and exciting. The yuca frita and fried pork was outstanding. The food might take a little longer to get than other places, but that is because it’s handmade by one owner when you order it, while the other owner is the server/cashier.

Ordered a Choripan with a Tamarindo to drink. Everything was delicious. The sandwich had a generous amount of melted cheese and the fries were surprisingly good.

If you’ve never had Salvadorian food
you are in for an amazing taste treat here.
Their Seafood Rice is loaded with seafood. I could eat it all day, every day!
The steak is cooked to perfection.
The handmade tortillas are perfect for loading up and there’s enough to take some home!
Of course we had to save room for dessert! Cheesecake is phenomenal!
We will return.. The owner’s are the icing on the cake!
Thanks for a great, much needed,
break from cooking!
