The food was delicious. They have lunch specials that are affordable and you get alot of food for the price. I got a gordita and a taco with rice and beans.

El Charro is a regular for us. We have found our favorite dishes and they are happy to add or subtract ingredients as requested. I am from South TX and I find the flavor closest resembling my hometown esp for the money and speed of receiving the food.

I was taken here this evening (11 November) with a family friend. The menu was entirely enticing and it was hard to choose just one thing. The chips and salsa were really good, especially the salsa. It had a spiciness to it that other restaurants don’t quite have. I chose the taco salad expecting a small tortilla bowl and some meat and vegetables. What came back to our table was so much larger than I expected. It was wider than the palm of my hand and stacked high with meat, cheese, guacamole, and fresh tomatoes. It was delicious. I look forward to being able to come back and try more of the menu. It has a nice, comfortable, casual vibe and everyone I glanced at, looked content with the food. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, always making sure I had my drink filled despite how busy it was when we arrived.

Me and my wife go here semi frequently and I’m a creature of habit so I always get the quesadillas and they are absolutely amazing! The meat is always tender and seasoned very well and you never bite into any gristle pieces! I’m always pleased with the food and the service

I love their lunch menu with daily specials. You can have a good lunch plus tea for under $10. However, service in the evening is hit or miss. It seems the evening service is intermittent at best. The evening service people are more interested limiting attention to certain customers. Some service people have attitudes.

How did I spend almost $4 a taco on these little things?? They’re barely bigger than the width of my hand! When asked about it, the woman told me, “Those are regular sized tacos. If you want bigger, we have the burrito.” No, I wanted tacos on regular sized tortillas! No apologies. No offer to make things right. Just “take it or leave it” attitude.
We spent the better part of a $20 bill and are still hungry. We usually go to Johnny’s, but we wanted to try something different… but the regrets are real. Johnny’s tacos are bigger, tastier, and less money.

The food was above average, meat was seasoned and cooked well, beans were delicious, and salsa was just right. Service was poor at best, we had to get up to get any assistance. We even had to get up to get a to go box. We were the only ones there at the time and it seemed we were a bother. Probably won’t be back.

I would give zero stars if I could. We came in this evening at 7:30.. there wasn’t any customers in the restaurant, but they don’t close until 9 so we sat down. The server (Brenda, I think) took care of us. The entire time she was short, rude, and made us feel like a burden. There were brief moments that she was polite, but overall you could tell that she was not in the mood to take care of us. We went to cash out and I planned on leaving a cash tip on the table. Not as much as I usually would, but a tip. When I put 0 on the credit card slip she showed a co-worker the receipt right in front of us and shook her head. That’s when I lost my crap and started letting her know how freaking rude she is.
We usually get Merlin and she’s great. She’s quick and friendly. We also have had the other lady in the past and although there’s a language barrier, she is usually friendly enough to get through the experience. Tonight was different, and it has for sure ruined us ever coming back. Go to this restaurant if you want to take a 50/50 gamble on the type of experience you will get.

The food was amazing and fresh. The rice was good and the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We all ordered something different and ate almost all of it. Huge portions and good prices. We will be coming back!

Food is decent, service is absolute trash. For the third time now, our to-go order has been incorrect and when addressed with the young waitress taking orders she had no care in the world about it and no effort was made to make the mistake right. Most times you have to ask for things several times, better yet just get up and get the to go box or the silverware yourself. Customer service seriously needs to be addressed with your service staff.
