I got Caldo de Res and it was exactly what I needed on a grey Sunday morning. There’s lots of beef which was a nice surprise. The broth is flavorful and the corn tortillas were delicious The booth seats are wide. Staff was super sweet and attentive.

I was lucky to find this place. Stopped for breakfast to get my favorite: Migas plate with bacon, chorizo and white cheese. It came out PERFECTLY and very flavorful. The red and green salsas both had amazing flavor profiles and complimented the dish nicely. The photo doesn’t even capture the amazing taste of the entire dish. The price was about 15-16 for the food itself which was worth it because of all the flavor and quality ingredients. Yall go give it a try.

My Family went out to eat & enjoyed there time. They ordered some food to bring to me & they asked for no onions on my birria tacos. Instead they gave me extra onions. They ordered chips & queso & salsa, they forgot the salsa. My tacos are flat & completely fall apart when I try to fold them & eat them. Not a great experience for take out.

So, this is the first time we go to El Charro Mexican Restaurant.. I first saw it being advertised on tiktok by San Antonio Foodies, about a week ago.. So we decided to try it out since it’s obly about 12 minutes from where we live.. It is located in Schertz, on FM 78.. OK, so the environment was very pleasant and welcoming the ladies there are very friendly and on top of everything so that’s a huge plus! They went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed ☺️ the food.. the food was delicious! Like even the beans and rice were delicious, which is hard to find nowadays anywhere we go.. i had the enchiladas Norteñas, which is steak fajita enchiladas.. oh man, they were on point! My son had 4 barbacoa flour tortilla tacos which were huge! He is super picky.. he said they they were amazing I also had a barbacoa gordita, which pfcourse was super delicious too! The salsas! The aguas frescas they have..like literally i have no negative things to say! Definitely is gonna be one of our spots to go to from now on! 5 star for us for sure ☺️ Ya’ll must try this gem located in Schertz! God bless! ✝️☺️
