First time dining in, usually only come here for dessert. So far what I have had has been decent, nothing stands out in particular except for the excellent service.
The wait staff is very attentive, takes care of any mishaps with food or drink orders.
There wasn’t a lot of foot traffic
(Friday evening) so I’m assuming maybe the majority of the people that come in are local. The restaurant is also next to what looks like a newly renovated or built hotel and a community on the other side.
There are lovely roses, surrounding the building, and on the inside, there are lots of spiritual aesthetic that provides a warm welcoming.
The table we were sat at felt kind of sticky, and the cushion of the seat were worn.
It’s a quaint, hidden away restaurant that’s family owned and I think that is a beautiful legacy.

Every good mexican meal I’ve ever had arrives at the table with the cry of “Hot Plate!!”.
So, if your getting take out or delivery I suspect your experience won’t be as good as mine:
My wife has eaten here in years past and loved it, but this was my first visit. It was midweek and a little early so it was very quiet, but we got friendly prompt service and seated at a spotless, ample table in a nicely decorated dining room.
Chips and salsa were really good – the salsa was fresh, tangy, with some heat, and the guac was delicious and fresh-made. Dinner included all the usuals, but they were hot, ample, and delicious: Steak fajitas, rellianos, enchiladas, and a specialty taco were all great, and served with fine examples of the usual rice and beans sides.
Margaritas were perfect, and portions were large. Chips were refilled without any extra charge.
Service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely will be back!

I ordered from El Charro for the first time today through DoorDash and what I received was the most disappointing food I’ve had, EVER. The “carne asada fries” were stale, and the carne was overcooked and burnt you couldn’t even chew it. The “chile relleno” was little to nothing and the egg mixture was overcooked it was HARD. Not to mention the prices are not worth for the portions you receive. I will never order from here again.

Online and in store the sign says open at 11. Showed up at 12:10 for lunch and nobody was there. No sign posted or anything saying otherwise. Tried calling and no answer mailbox full. The one other time I came here the food was great and service was fast. Disappointed by the fact they don’t open when they say they open

Stomach aches started before we left. Everything tasted “off”. Beans tasted like squash? We left thinking ICE raids must have them without a skilled cook. Wasn’t servers fault, she was delightful. Next day everyone is still sick. Sad!

Food is authentic and delicious. Tortilla chips were fresh crispy crunchy, salsa was delicious. I thought I ordered just 2 simple burritos. I received a plate. That’s awesome. Well packaged was warm/hot when I picked it up. Highly recommend you give this restaurant a shot. Reasonable pricing. Thank you.

I’ve lived in the area for 17 years and just discovered this place e after some friends took us here. The food is absolutely delicious and comes out on a super hot plate. And I mean hot! We’ve been back 2 more times in the past month because it’s so good!
