If you like great food at a great price, this place is for you. Might look a little dingy from the outside, but it is well worth a visit. We had the fajitas, which were huge, two of us ate one meal and still had plenty to take home. Great service as well!

Found this place by accident. Had to stop for gas along our drive and we rolled the food dice to help us choose what kind of food to eat. So glad it landed on Mexican food. This place brought me the biggest burritos and all the chips/salsa/queso dip we’re all great. We’ll definitely make this a stop every time we drive from SC to VA from now on. Great service!

I ordered tacos on taco Tuesday to go. It was our first time eating their food and we absolutely loved it. We got steak, and chicken street tacos and regular beef tacos. Definitely worth it.

I would say this place price for the food I received is cheap compared to other restaurants I have been. Service wise, the ladies and probably the owner is nice too. Food definitely needs improvement. Atmosphere wise is nice, they have good options for alcohol.

Me, my mom and daughter ate here for the first time on 04/12/24 and it was AWESOME! Our new spot for Mexican cuisine:) Staff was great, super friendly and constantly checking on how we were doing. Food was hot and delicious. I would recommend anyone try this place, you won’t regret it:)

Food was great, music was maybe a bit loud. The area itself was in a good location. The establishment could use a good cleaning and some updates, like new paint and some serious dusting. Food came out fast and hot. The waitress seemed to of maybe been having a rough night. All in all good

This is a nice local Mexican restaurant that provides some very delicious meals. There is some remodeling going on, so can be tricky to navigate around. Had a little trouble finding the place and the signage did not make it readily apparent that they were open.
Firstly, the portion sizes are quite generous. Secondly, the preparation is delicious. The meals were similar to some of the nicer Mexican restaurants that we have been in lately but without the higher prices. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful, being attentive to our needs. Appears to be frequented by locals, so that usually tells you something.

1st time at El Charro. No wait time, seated immediately! The server brought chips and salsa to the table, had to order some cheese dip to with. Our server was on point, attentive and nice. The entrees were chicken, rice and cheese dip and one beef taco with rice, beans and shrimp. Very good, flavor was great, food was hot and tasty. If ever in Dunn, NC check out El Charro Grande!!!

Just traveling and saw the place right off the exit ramp next to a gas station attached to a motel. Food was excellent A+. Very nice people working there also. Definitely worth a stop. Also, the price was low.

This place was difficult to find but very well worth it, keep an eye out for the cowboy on the horse entrance is right behind you will see the only door on the white wall.
The service was very good and the host and waitress were very attentive and prompt. As we sat down menus were given to us and in less than 10 min we were ready to place our order.
No more than 10 minutes later all of our orders were brought to the table and let me tell you, we were amazed.
We ordered the 2x Chori Pollo platter and carne asada platter and 2 taco Al pastor.
The Chori Pollo was the best I ever had, the chorizo topped with cheese and the breast was super juicy and fresh tasting, flavorful and amazing it was such a refreshing taste of flavors I would never forget, strongly recommend and the portions were great as well.
The carne asada was tender and delicious accompanied with the home made corn tortillas wow what a great experience.
The Al Pastor tacos had great char on the pork well balanced with caramelized onions and pineapple to add a strong flavor profile to each bite.
We love Mexican food and nothing more than great authentic tasting one at that, so please stop on by if you live near this place or you are driving down south like we were and definitely come with an empty stomach you won’t be disappointed.
Will stop by here again if I’m around the area, and the price we paid for a family of for with tip was very affordable. Thank you to the entire establishment for making such a wonderful experience for us.
