Good service and atmosphere. The vegetarian burrito I had wasn’t the greatest, unfortunately. Some of the vegetables inside seemed to have been frozen and only partially thawed. The first few bites were good, but not an overall great meal. My friends, however, were pretty happy with their food so I may have just gotten a bad dish.

Authentic. Tasty. Having grown up in the desert Southwest, I’m VERY picky about Mexican cuisine…and El Charro delivers. Faithfully, every time. Highly recommended. Chile relleno and Chile Colorado are our go-to meal items, but everything is so comforting and delicious. ☺

We arrived right at lunch time on a Tuesday. Wonderful service, nice calm atmosphere even though they got busy. Service was very fast and friendly. Prices and selection on the menu were awesome for the quality of food. Really can’t say enough good about our visit. Will definitely be back if in the area.

Not bad, but not great in my opinion. I usually stop in for Mexican food when I travel up North. I ordered the Chile Colorado. In the south it’s made with square chunks of pork and kinda spicy. Here is was what looked like leftover cuts of beef strips about an inch long. No spice at all. So It was completely different from what I’m used to. Not saying it was bad, just saying I wouldn’t order it again. My waiter was okay. He came by once for a refill on my tea and once for my check. The restaurant itself is clean and pretty nice. Overall I’d probably try another place next time but I wouldn’t complain if I’d have to eat here again.

This is a really cute place with friendly staff. I’ve tried a variety of foods and I have never been disappointed. I ordered a margarita tonight and it was super yummy. Never seems overly busy, but I wish it were because it’s great food and they deserve it! I usually sit at the bar and it seems like there are more carry out orders than dine-in.. which is good news if you plan to dine in because your waitress will be able to pay more attention to you! I like the tables bc there are pictures of horses on them. Anyway.. underrated place. I need to come here more!

I ordered the #1 lunch combo, which consists of 1 enchilada, 1 hard shell taco w/choice of meat, mine was steak, and all lunch special combos includes rice & beans, for only $8.50. It came fairly quick, and it was excellent. Very delicious.

El Charro is probably the best value for authentic Mexican food in this area, with fantastically spicy complementary salsa, plenty of awesome combo deals below $10, and a variety of vegetarian options for those interested. The staff is personable and attentive, and the atmosphere, although not “fancy” per se, is still very cute and well decorated. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in this area, but when it comes to value, quality, and variety, El Charro is the winner.
