This place makes you feel at home. It’s a mellow vibe with amazing tasting food. What makes the food so good is that it’s all handmade. The masa for the gorditas and the tacos is perfection. My favorite is the gordita with chorizo. The owners are the nicest! Give this new gem a chance. Oh and also try the tacos de camarón! Actually just try the whole menu you won’t be disappointed because the prices are affordable!

They also catered a party for me, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. The pricing was reasonable compared to other catering options, and all the food was incredibly fresh. For an additional cost, they made homemade tortillas on-site during the event, which was a huge hit with my guests.
On top of the great food, they were easygoing, fun, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend dining here or using them for your next event—you won’t be disappointed!

This place is amazing! We had fresh hand pressed corn tortillas in front of us for our tacos which were delicious and the gorditas are simply delightful!!! I highly recommend this place if you want something truly authentic.

Only positive things to say about El Changarro. We found this place a couple of months ago and it’s now in our regular rotation. The owners make you feel like family and the service is great. The food is excellent. Handmade tortillas as you order and everything is fresh. Easily the best tacos we have found in Hollister, and for $3 per taco?? Come on… It’s a family run business and they clearly care about the quality of their food and service. If you come at night, they usually have a fire pit going and they have very good cafe de hoya to warm you up. You can take your order to go or they have a few tables for seating outside. Can’t say enough about this place. We won’t go anywhere else for tacos around here.

Stop by this place after church and food was amazing! You get freshly made tortillas and the food was delicious! Hands down one the best Mexican cuisine in the area. Definitely try it out and ask for some grilled chilles toriados!
