First time at this place and it was fairly empty (we lucked out) around 7 pm. Service was fast and the food was delicious. I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas and I’m not sure what sauce they used but it was so. tasty! Also ordered the margarita on the rocks but it was a bit too sweet for my tastes. Next time I’m in town, I’ll come back and try another dish.

been coming to this restaurant for 20 years and it’s had its ups and downs as all local restaurants do, but i can easily say hands down and without exaggeration that it THE BEST Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant in Myrtle Beach, maybe even South Carolina. the service is generally phenomenal, they just newly renovated and it’s gorgeous, the drinks are delicious, and the food is breathtaking. i kid you not, everything on the menu is great, especially the salsa, guacamole, and cheese dip. my favorite entree for years now has been the Nachos Supreme, but my favorite before cutting out meat was the Cowboy Chimichanga! the prices have gone up over the years, but what place hasn’t honestly – and it’s beyond worth it. if you’re visiting in MB, skip the tourist traps and go here. i lived in Austin, Texas for a year and missed this spot, it’s that good. and make sure to tip your servers, they deserve it!

Okay, so I gave El Cerro Grande a whirl because of all the talk about it, but honestly, I wasn’t all that impressed.

My first time dining at the El Cerro Grande. The food was great, I had shrimp, chicken and steak fajitas with all the trimmings. It was enough for three people and I sat there and ate the whole thing! Our waitress was very good, she has a great personality. Definitely 5 stars.

I’ve never had a bad experience at any of their restaurants in town. Every location has something a little different about it. This is one of the smaller restaurants but that’s what makes it so great. It’s cozy and comfortable, and the staff are very welcoming. When you walk in it’s like stepping away from the real world for awhile. Plus the food is amazing and everything I’ve ever tried has been great! It’s a classic menu with all of your favorites plus a few more adventurous options for those of you who like to shake things up a little. When you want warmth and comfort on a plate, this is where you go! I’m not even a big eater, but I always walk away from this place happier than I walked in!

In 1991 Ricardo, Salvador, and Eriberto began a chain of 8 Mexican restaurants offering a true taste of home and an experience that came with it. Their stand alone locations have an authentic look and feel but this strip mall location is functionality and capacity simplicity. Interior is dated with worn booths, scraped walls and front plate of glass is cracked. A tiny unattended bar is hidden in back by the bathrooms. Friendly wait staff got us seated, our drinks and warm tortilla chips with their own homemade salsa. Our main course was the Arroz Con Apollo with a good serving of grilled chicken in a queso cheese sauce over rice. Food was hot, authentic flavor with just a tad bit of heat that complemented the bed of rice. No ambiance but authentic home style cooking.

No AC, limited menu, slow service, unfriendly waiter who is rushing us. We are thinking about leaving.

So many great things to say about this place! Pam is an amazingly outstanding server! Every time we have her we are always greeted with a smile. She is super knowledgeable about the menu and anything you need she is right there! After having a terrible experience twice at the Broadway location, this just further shows to go to the Carolina Forest location! The food here is always hot, tastey, and served with love! You can tell from the care of the food and servers that this place has the passion for what they serve. Go visit Pam and get some deliciously hot food!
