I absolutely recommend this place! The service is phenomenal, the food is great, and although I’m not the biggest fan of Mexican cuisine in general, I love trying different dishes here and I’ve never been disappointed. The portions are huge! I’m always hungry and it’s hard to truly satisfy my appetite, but El Cazador does it perfectly.
The drinks are delicious, the staff is always friendly, smiling, and helpful they know how to recommend something without being pushy. I once heard from a local that this place is only worth visiting for a quick margarita, and I’m so glad I didn’t listen! I’ve been here many times since, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.
Highly recommend even just for the atmosphere and the wonderful service.

Great vibe, great food, and really good drinks. The Ice tea is made fresh and amazing. The Asada tacos were so tender, and the habanero sauce is so yummy. Also had the quesabirria taco plate that had the best consumè. Love this place, will be back!

After a long day’s drive, we popped into “El Caz” for a light dinner. The pure margaritas are well balanced and very tasty. Our great waitress made table side guacamole. The huge she used were perfectly ripe and made a delicious guacamole. We also enjoyed the happy hour enchiladas. We chose the shredded beef. They were delicious too.

We had a wonderful experience at El Cazador Mexican Restaurant during our visit to Fidalgo Island! The moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm and inviting Mexican atmosphere. The beautiful décor, with colorful paintings on the walls and lively Mexican music, really made the place feel authentic and full of character.
We ordered from the lunch special menu two taco bowl salads with steak
and they were absolutely delicious. The steak was tender and flavorful, and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The chips and salsa were also excellent crisp chips and a salsa with just the right amount of kick.
Overall, it was a fantastic meal in a beautifully designed space. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in the area!

Our server was the redeeming quality of this place. She was kind, charming and provided perfect service.
The food looked amazing, but the chicken and veggies were very bland, but the steak was amazing.
The atmosphere was good, not very loud.
What I absolutely didn’t like was that the table was very sticky and dirty. I wiped it with a towelette I had, and I posted the photo of how dirty it was.
To summarize, it would be better if the food was seasoned just a bit more and the tables were cleaned, otherwise it was enjoyable.

Food and atmosphere were great! But the prices are outrageous… We got three entrees, 2 waters and a soda and it came it to $100. It turns out that they charge and extra $5 from rice and beans with your burrito (or anything). I wish our server would have mentioned how expensive that up charge is! Won’t be coming back because usually, rice and beans come with the meal… It just didn’t feel like $100 worth of food. Really felt ripped off.

After a couple visits, I can say that this place is lively, and good for a party. The food is good, however the pricing is a little high for what is served. They have a nice restaurant area and fairly good staff. If I had a dozen friends looking to go out in Oak Harbor with some money to burn, maybe looking for some drinks with dinner, I think this would make an excellent venue. It’s a little loud for intimate gatherings, but you don’t need to worry too much about moderately raised voices from excited friends.

Traveling through the area again and this place is, unfortunately, not the same as it use to be years ago. Very bland, no flavor. I was told the older head chef who use to work here was fired and he’s the one that had all the family recipes memorized. That’s unfortunate. Staff was friendly and it’s nicely decorated. Hopefully they can come up with some better recipes. Until then, I’ll be going to the burrito place in town instead.

We got “molcajete” (menu says for 2 people). It was NOT enough for 2 people at all. Very little meat, barely enough for 1 person. Even the guac was not sized up for 2 people. They gave us only 4 small tortillas. Shrimp was clearly packaged frozen shrimp. Beans and rice were just mid. Very disappointed to pay $70 for 2 people, only to leave the restaurant hungry.
