My husband and I have been loyal customers of this restaurant for years. We usually come 2–3 times a month and always order the same dishes — I get the quesabirria tacos, and he gets the carne asada burrito with red sauce and queso added. We’ve always loved this location, which is why our most recent visit was such a letdown.
I want to start by saying our waitress was absolutely amazing. Her service was professional, attentive, and genuinely phenomenal. She was the highlight of the entire visit, and none of this is a reflection of her.
Unfortunately, the kitchen was a completely different story. My husband’s meat was extremely greasy and completely burnt. I even tried it myself, and it tasted like the grill hadn’t been cleaned at all — almost as if they scraped off burnt leftovers and served them to him. For a place we’ve supported for so long, and where our bill consistently totals over $50, this was incredibly disappointing.
It breaks my heart to say this, but because of the kitchen’s poor quality and lack of care, we will not be returning. It’s truly unfortunate, especially given how much we’ve always enjoyed this restaurant in the past.

We love going to different Mexican restaurants. We have been to their original location on skibo and have always enjoyed it. We’ve been exploring other places recently but came back because it’s closer to our house. I got chimichangas he got a torta and everything was yummy of course we love their chips and salsa, salsa is a bit hot. He got the shrimp and ham torta I think the ham may have been country ham because it was pretty dry and stiff. Everything else was amazing the food was good the service was beyond good the young lady who waited on us was just top-notch and we would go back just to see her again she was amazing

Being a loyal el cazador customer for years ! We just had the worst experience ever we came in at 8pm Friday night for dinner and chubby waiter sat us down in a corner brought us chips and we sat for 40 min no drinks or service. 7 waiters in restaurant just sitting on a table on there phones just ignored us. We walked out after no one served us. We loved this place but this hurts to write. So disappointed

Overall great place to eat. Went there with my wife after hearing mixed reviews. Walled in while it was slow and almost turned around…. BUT! Im glad we stayed. The food came out fast, the service was great. And the food was very good. From presentations to taste they did not miss! Highly recommend going here of you are hungry!

Had a great experience at El Cazador. The service was professional, the food came out hot and delicious. Portion size is what I like and that burrito was filling. For those who like spicy, they also have a ghost pepper sauce you can order . We went on a Sunday night and it was not busy at all. Definitely recommend .

Huevos Rancheros, large portions, fresh, fast, to go. Priced pretty good. I ordered online to pickup; the hostess at counter was nice; I’m glad my food was in the back waiting. I forgot to add a note to hard fry/no runny yolk for eggs- It was still good.

This was an extremely hard review to write for a lot of great waitresses that work here will be affected. I went to this restaurant with my family a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a medium-rare steak but received a well-done one. The waitress agreed it was well-done and offered to send it back. (Our waitress was great!) However, a manager then argued with me, insisting the steak was medium-rare. I explained I am a regular customer, ordering the same steak over 30 times a year, and this had never happened. She then said she would charge me for a new steak. I questioned why I should pay for a mistake that wasn’t mine. After some back and forth, she offered for me to take the well-done steak home, which I declined as it wasn’t what I ordered. For argument’s sake, and to set an example for my son, I agreed to be charged, hoping the restaurant would do the right thing. When I called a few days later, a rude lady answered and refused to connect me to the owner or take my number without knowing the reason, even though I offered my name and number. Eventually, she took it, but no one called back. I called again a couple of days later, and the owner’s son answered. He agreed with my story and even recalled being there that night. He offered compensation and said either he or his father would call me. I still haven’t received a call. I am very upset and disappointed with how a regular customer was treated.

Very disappointed in my last visit to El Cazador. I go to their restaurant frequently and order the same dishes each time. Unfortunately the last time I went, I ordered Birria tacos and the portion size was ultimately different. No longer enough food for the prices.

Went during lunch hours and was promptly seated. Very clean. The waitress was good as well. I ordered the burrito enchilada style. It was 70% beans, 10%rice and cheese and 10% chicken. It lacked flavors. I asked to add pickled jalapeños and there were about 7 in there which cost an extra .99 cents. Hubby ordered the fajitas Texana and it came out sizzling and smelled wonderful and I tasted the shrimp and it had a great char and tasted amazing. Both were big portions.

Rather disappointing! After reading the great reviews, this was a real let down. The service was slow (despite several staff just standing around), the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation (even our server had trouble hearing our order), the chips were “so-so” and the salsa was way too picante (we later discovered that another table was offered a mild and hot, but not us), the drinks came in bottles without glasses, the food for the two of us arrived in a strange timing (i.e. long delay after I received mine before my wife got her’s). Then surprises: my El Bandito Burrito was almost tasteless (maybe the salsa picante had burned my taste buds), but worse, my wife’s chicken (Burrito De Pollo Asada) was rubbery. She asked me to try it, and I was so disgusted. Both of us could not continue our meal–it was horrible. When the server asked how things were, it took some time for her to understand the problem. A manager came by, and offered another selection and a discount, but by that stage far too underwhelmed us to try anything else. Maybe our expectations were too high… we will not go back.
