Chips and salsa and queso were good. The food was pretty good too but the tortillas were hard. Service was good but it smelled like a dirty restaurant. Iykyk. We were the only ones there and I don’t know how they stay open with such little business. We wanted to give it a try but I don’t know if I would come back. It was a little overpriced in my opinion.

Food was great. The waitress was not very good or not too friendly. They charge extra for tortillas when I got a fajita dinner as it only came with 2 my mother order the same and didn’t get any tortillas and told us we had to share the 2 tortillas that they gave us, had to ask for more and then got charged $2 for more so we could finish our meal. Wasn’t to expensive until you have to pay to use a credit or debit card.

The only Mexican restaurant in Drumright and it is a good one. This restaurant is operated by a young couple. This is their first venture into operating their own business after years of working for other restaurants. The young lady taking care of the up-front business was the owner and her husband was doing the cooking. Great friendly service. The old building they are in has a large dining area decked out in and full Mexican décor. Apparently, it has been a Mexican restaurant for years under various operators. Even though it is on the main street through town, it is easy to overlook El Catrin.
Chips and fair salsa on the house. The menu is not large, a reduced version of the typical variety OkieMex style food. I had the Burrito Laredo, filled with ground beef, covered in excellent queso, beans, rice, a little Pico de Gallo and a good tasting dab of guacamole. My wife had the Enchiladas Verdes. Three chicken filled enchiladas covered in an excellent verde sauce, beans and rice. The meats in both meals were well seasoned. The beans smooth and flavorful.
Drumright, you have a good little Mexican restaurant; use it or lose it.
We enjoyed the meals and service.
If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection “Jalapeno Highway” by Spike S. on Yelp. I’ve probably been there.

Place is cool, cold inside in Dec. Outside is cold. Got the lunch chimichunga. It ok. Sodas were great. Staff is nice. I’d come back. Not alot of places to eat in drumright. Chips were thick but warm. Salsa is like water. It had no taste for me but my daughter likes it ok.

Chili Verde was awesome, slow roasted and melt in your mouth! Beans were a thin consistency, but very flavorful. Rice was a bit under seasoned if eating it alone, but perfect compliment for the rest of the meal. Laredo Burrito was exactly what my wife wanted. Seasoned perfectly, again rice was a great compliment to it. Chips were warm and crispy, salsa had a great flavor but I thought it needed a bit of salt. The requested hot salsa had a kick, but still tasted great. Too often the flavor is compromised for heat. This had a great balance. Ordered a couple of steak street tacos just to try, and let me say those will bring me back! I wish they had lingua, but the steak will suffice. Onions and cilantro were perfect, small pieces of steak had great char and were crispy and tender, seasoned properly. All in all I will be going back. To top it off they had Sonic style ice! The service was top notch, we never had a need for anything, but didn’t feel smothered either. Wendy did a great job, as well as the kitchen staff.

This place is disgusting. I didn’t realize until mid way that the dirty dishes were right next to the salsa and chips.
Not only that, we waited 20 minutes before we got up to pay for the chips and salsa since no one ever came back to take our order.
We were visiting from out of town.
Would not recommend.

Stopped in for a margarita and they gave us glasses of sweet and sour . The salsa was just salty with no other flavor. Asked for a shot of tequila to make the margaritas margaritas and she just never came back. We’re really hoping to find some local places that are tasty but we’ll try in Sapulpa I guess.

I am always open to trying new restaurants and have found that smaller “hole in the wall” establishments run by family can often be hidden gems.
This place is a hidden gem.
The service was friendly and the food was amazing. Their guacamole was better than most. I’ve never been impressed with most restaurants that serve guacamole, It’s typically bland and mushy. This had some chunkiness to it and flavor. Just needed a tad bit of salt and pepper.
The entree dish I had (chicken, vegetables, rice and beans covered in cheese) was very good.
The best recommendation I can give is that I will be back.
