Such a great find! The food was exquisite! All the sauces, from the hot sauces to the moles, were so delicious and complex. The various dishes were creative and well-thought-out. The staff was passionate about their food and hospitality which was fun and the atmosphere was low key but trendy. All in all, well-thought-out Mexican restaurant that I look forward to coming back to.

This place is a gem! Family run restaurant and serving up real authentic Mexican food. The menu has plenty of options. The staff is amazing! The mole is the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth checking this place out. Portions are VERY reasonable for the price. You won’t be disappointed! This is my go to spot now. Lastly, try the hot sauces… they are dynamite!

Upon entering this establishment, I was immediately captivated by the menu offerings. My expectations were high, and I eagerly placed an order for the Milanesa torta. Alas, my enthusiasm was not met with equal satisfaction. The hallmark of a truly exceptional milanesa lies in the delectable flavor of the breading, yet this particular torta was sorely lacking in this regard. The cause? Alas, it was not due to a lack of seasoning, but rather a careless overcooking that left the dish burnt to a crisp. Regrettably, the thinness of the steak also did not aid in redeeming the dish’s taste. To make matters worse, the accompanying ingredients, such as the lettuce, tomato, and avocado, were equally pedestrian and predictable.

Went here for the sopes and was not disappointed. Friendly locally owned authentic mexican restaurant. Delicious, fresh, and flavorful food. Well put together menu and my family loved the sopes, burrito, and tacos. Would highly recommend!

Wow! What a delight! Great Mexican food with authentic and delicious flavor and quality ingredients. We were treated very well by the staff and they answered all of our questions about gluten free and vegan and dairy free. You order your food at the counter but it’s still a sit down feel with fun and entertaining decor. We were so pleased with our experience! We will return again to enjoy more. Great prices and value! Muchas gracias, fue una experiencia buena y disfrutamos todo! Muchas opciones por todos y sabor poderoso! Vamos regresar outra vez.

Definitely enjoyed our visit for lunch. Sopes with carnitas, lengua, and cachete (cheek) and tacos with pastor and lengua. Both sauces are flavorful but not spicy. The agua fresca de jamaica was wonderful tart with a little sweetness. I’ll be back to try other things.

Tacos are a bit pricey but worth it. They don’t skimp on the meat and the flavors are fantastic. Get the tripas, lengua, beef cheeks in that order. The ancho chili salsa slaps. They also have a rotation of 3 different drinks they make, definitely refreshing and go well with tacos. The staff is friendly and the place is new, so it’s clean and welcoming. I work nearby and despite the saturation of Mexican food in this area, I will definitely be back at El Catrin.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the Seattle area! Great tacos, and big menu with lots of other things. The enchiladas huastecas is excellent, with the steak. I got chilaquiles with guajillo salsa, potatoes, and chorizo. The pictures speak for themselves.

The best Mexican food anywhere in Seattle. Super clean, authentic, the cook was wearing a mask. This is a hidden gem in white center. Prices are very reasonable. Everything from scratch. Can’t say enough good things about it.

Good food and warm inviting service. Most of us got tacos. I had the Carne asada. My dad got the chili reyeno. Very delicious. Came with chips and salsa before the entree. Everything was delicious .
