Great little breakfast and lunch restaurant somewhat off the beaten path, but I highly recommend!! Great food – and plenty of it! Small, not quite intimate, around 20 tables. Our waitress got to us as soon as we sat down. It was about 3/4 full during the lunch rush. We got the puffy tacos, which I highly recommend very flavorful and fresh. The tomatoes tasted like they were pulled from the vine this morning. The sauces on the table were outstanding the the green ones is tomatillo very tasty. The orange one is very very hot probably habanero – use lightly and with caution lol!!
We’ll be going back!!

Delicious tacos and great value. I tried four different kinds of tacos—every one hit the spot. The horchata tasted just okay (probably the powdered kind), but it was cheap so no biggie. The space could use some love—it feels a bit bare—but the food makes up for it. With a little attention to the vibe, they could really crush it.

One of our goals for our weekend in San Antonio was to try Puffy Tacos. My son had the beef and my wife and I had the chicken. We were very happy with the puffy tacos and my son said they were the best tacos he ever had. The service was super friendly and prompt. We also appreciate the glasses of ice served with our sodas on a hot afternoon.

Good food and great service. The atmosphere was a little run down but I don’t care about that if the enchiladas are good! I had the verde and it was very good. My friends had the “puffy” tacos and weren’t that impressed. They said their chicken didn’t have a lot of flavor. I tried a bite and while the puffy taco is apparently popular in San Antonio it just seemed like kinda greasy bread to me. The staff was lovely and remade my friends plate when she had an issue with her order. They even gave us a free piece of tres leches cake to make up for the mistake.

Friendly and unpretentious little place for breakfast and lunch. The tacos were great as was the coffee. There is no dedicated parking lot for the restaurant so either walk or find a apot on the street close by. Highly recommend.

I’ve been eating at this place for 3 consecutive years, food is amazing service always great.
You can never go wrong with any plate I love everything on the menu but if you don’t want to go wrong at breakfast try the T-Bone steak and eggs or red chilaquiles flavor is outstanding, you can taste the love from the hands that makes it.
For lunch my favorite is the parrillada or steak a la mexicana, the chips and salsa are amazing, I always get 10 of of 10 in every meal,
Delicious food, price is great specially being close to the river walk without paying river walk prices.

Here June5 2025. Very busy. Service was quick. Food was a step up from taco bell on flavor with typical large gringos portions. Perspective we have spent much of the past 13 years in Mexico so we were left disappointed. He ordered the enchiladas verde, she ordered pechuga ranchera, he says no way to compare this food to Mexico and I say the same. Both dishes were incredibly salty, especially the rice. We ate about half. This is not traditional Mexican food. Seriously Americanized Mexican food. Bathroom was clean.

This restaurant is bomb. Had the steak and eggs . Their homemade salsa Verde was delicious. Definitely gonna be my new “go to spot” for breakfast in San Antonio.

From the outside this place doesn’t look like much, but walk in. You won’t regret it. Excellent food and non alcoholic drinks. The food is served on authentic plates. We had birria tacos and puffy tacos, which were savory and spices just right. The consume was amazing. Also the green hot salsa was soooo good and spicy, made our noses run. The price point and savory food make this a major thumbs up place to visit.
