This is real Mexican food. It was so good. I haven’t had tacos, rice and beans like this since I ate in San Diego California. I felt like it was homemade. My husband’s dish was just as good. The restaurant is very clean and the waiter was very attentive. This place gets very busy and I can see why. Enjoy

Really good Mexican food!
I had tacos al carbon. My personal preference is soft corn tortillas when I order street like tacos.
The tortillas were flash fried in oil that introduced grease to the taco. I suppose others would prefer that.
My wife had a tamale and chicken enchilada. We both ended up eating off of her plate as it was phenomenal! Great beans and rice. Very attractive dining area.
A MUST if you’re in the Canon City area and craving Mexican.
Somebody had fajitas next to us and they smelled super good! We will definitely be back!

I’ve heard it is the best Mexican food in canon city. I think the rumors are right! The servers seem to really care about the business and are friendly. The food was excellent. Try to chili relleno! Salsa had just the right amount of heat and sweetness. As my husband just said, “Wow, that hit the spot!” Will definitely be back on a regular basis.

The waitress had very little personality, sh walked off as we’re still ordering, we finished our order with another waitress we caught walking by, they completely forgot our drinks, and the hot plate of steaming lettuce (taco salad) was a really bad experience. Who puts a no-shell taco salad on a hot plate? Who likes soggy hot lettuce?? It was so gross I decided to take it apart and see if there was any actual meat inside. On a dinner plate there was just 2 fork fulls of meat. A disgrace.
I’m not sure if the kitchen was understaffed or not but it took over 25 minutes with 6 tables, at 3pm on a Tuesday to get food coming. 2 tables had their food as we came in. The 4 employees standing around near the kitchen showing each other pictures on their phones for 11 minutes tells me they’re not understaffed. They’re just not working hard.
As we go pay our bill no one is watching the register. Two groups of people are waiting to be seated and us and another group are waiting to pay. So we all stand there for another 3 minutes waiting for the personalityless waitress to ring us up. One couple gives up and walks out.
That was our last visit.

This was an awesome choice. All the food and service were great. The portions were much bigger than we needed, and we over ordered. All the sided were good, and the Chile Rellenos were exceptional. The Chimichamgas were good, but I probably won’t order again. They had a lot of chicken that tasted like it was canned and a little flavor different than we are used to.
Just a suggestion for management, put the guacamole on the side it is something some people really like, and to some, it’s a turn-off. Overall, it was a great place and will return someday.

It was a very nice restaurant. The ambience was nice. The staff were courteous and willing to explain the dishes. They were happy to provide suggestions. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasted good. There was a good connection of items in the menu. Fajitas were sizzling hot and the smell of the food was delicious. The portion was also good for the price. I will definitely go to this place next time when I am in the area. I would also recommend it to friends and family too.

Good food and friendly service. We eat at Mexican restaurants all the time, this place is one of the best we have been to recently. The refries tasted authentic which is always a good measure of how much care they put into the rest of the meal. Salsa was spicey, chips were good and fresh and the beers were nice and cold. We really enjoyed our meal. The fried ice cream was scream out loud good! We will definitely return someday.

Great place to dine and enjoy some homemade Mexican food. Tried the chicken mole enchiladas with rice and beans. The mole was rich in flavor and the chicken was tender to the bite. The rice and beans were your standard fare. The chips and salsa were pretty good, and freshly made. Staff were friendly as well. Definitely recommend if in the area.
