Food is hit or miss depending on the day of the week. Very average quality with nothing exceptional. Quality and customers service definitely declined after the new management came through.
The manager guy is a bit weird with no real customer service skills. I found it weird I had been charged an automatic tip on my bill without even having the option to do so.
Will not recommend unless yours literally starving. There are many Mexican restaurants out there to chose from instead.

To all you Mexican Food Lovers like us…this place was THY Best, Fresh Mexican Meal we have had in a long time. The service and the price was on target but most importantly, they served fresh Horchata!!! We looked for others in the area but none listed or just didn’t have it so two thumbs up to this comfy place full of wonderful dishes.

BEWARE! They automatically charge you a tip for every transaction. This is ILLEGAL when you are not transparent about your fees- there are no signs displaying this extra charge.

EXCELLENT! Everything was so fresh, delicious. We stopped in with our son just by chance on our way home from vacation. I am so happy we did. We were 1 of 2 tables in there when we walked in but clearly just beat the rush because it picked up in there FAST. The gentleman working was so kind, service was quick and attentive, did I mention food was excellent.. I’m sad we don’t live closer because I would be back there ordering today and tomorrow and probably ordering from there A LOT.

You can’t go wrong with this restaurant if your looking for good authentic Mexican food. They make their foods from scratch very healthy and rich in nutrients Customer service is outstanding it get very busy during lunch time but your food still gets on the table on time. I am definitely going back and I highly recommend it.

10/10 recommend! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in the New Castle area this is the spot to go to. Small, but beautifully decorated restaurant with lovely service. The food was served quickly, and it tasted amazing. Highly recommend the fresh coffee or Mexican Atole. Parking is located in the rear of the building, and handicapped spots in front. Don’t be discouraged by the stairs, their is a handicap accessible elevator! Overall wonderful experience at El Cantaro.
