Who would have thought that you could get amazing Mexican food in Chesterton, Indiana? Not gonna lie I was a little skeptical but the great reviews drew me in and let me tell you. They did not disappoint! Everything from start to finish was delish! The salsa was sooo good- we had to get seconds! For an appetizer, we had the queso fundio for $12- it was so so good but the portion could have been a bit larger for the price. The taste though? Spot on! For the main event, the hubs and I shared the Milanese for $38 and wow just wow! The steak was sooo tender. The peppers and onions and shrimp were seasoned to perfection. And to top it all off we had the churro cake for dessert – simply divine! 10/10 my hats off to the chef and our awesome server!!! I cannot wait to go back!

I loved this place! I would definitely come back! The food was amazing! The atmosphere is amazing! Waitress was very nice! And their salsa is pretty decent. I really enjoyed snacking on it! They’re beans tasted a little bit weird in my opinion. But I think it’s just that I don’t enjoy beans in general and I’ve always thought they were kind of mid. 5 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The quantity portions are massive here! Fajitas come out sizzling with big portions. Delicious fresh chips and salsa. Also recommend the churro cake, so moist and rich! I would skip the fried ice cream, ours tasted old and not fresh. Overall really great food and our server was a sweetheart! Lovedddd the frozen margarita flight. Delicious flavors, especially the peach.

One of the better local Mexican spots. Food quality is definitely worth the wait. Service might run slow but they keep employees because they don’t overstaff. I’d rather wait an extra 15 minutes for food that is delicious from a server who can live off the money they make there.
Nobody’s standing around picking their nose. They’re working their butts off.
So you can go to El Salto or what used to be that awesome place next to the village… And have a super quick subpar meal or you can wait and have a good one.

We ordered Lilis Tacos and Chicken Enchiladas, both came with side of rice which was very delicious. In general food was tasty, good quantity. Watermelon Margarita was strong! Service is timely.

Very impressed by everything! The Horchat is $5 but it comes in a HUGE cup and tastes great. My BF recommends the cheese tacos. He gets them all the time. I had the shrimp fajita – delicious. It was just when we went so I’m guessing a lot of people agree that It’s a great place!

Carried out and sat at the bar while they made my food. Enchiladas en Mole was great. Only complaint was I am convinced that the menu said guacamole salad, but there was no guacamole… the flan was good!
