A local staple that was recently updated inside. The service is always consistent and attentive. The food is reasonably priced and always is quickly prepared. I had the langostino fajitas which came out piping hot and was delicious.
Overall, this is definitely a solid local Mexican restaurant worth a stop.

THIS place however knocks the ball out of the park. I haven’t actually finished my dinner in ages. It was so good.
Fajitas taco salad with chicken. Very fresh, lots of chicken and a nice balance of veggies.
Even my husband remarked about how good dinner was. Worth the money we spent for dinner, a nice change.

We went there last night for dinner. Food and service were outstanding. We were greeted promptly and seated. Our server brought us chips and salsa and took our drink orders in a timely manor. He then took our food order after bringing our drinks. Our food was brought out in a timely fashion, hot and fresh. Food was excellent.

I had such an amazing experience at El Caneo Mexican Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive. The waitresses and servers were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in making sure guests feel right at home. I’m super grateful I decided to try this place. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. If you’re looking for real, quality Mexican food and a great atmosphere, this is the spot!

This place is authentic!!! AMAZING food. I loved it. The one issue I did have was the language barrier. I KNEW that they had gluten free food, because I called ahead-due to my daughter having celiac. When we arrived however, our waiter barely spoke english. The situation did get resolved because a very nice waiter who better understood my concerns was able to assist me with my daughter. I ordered the fajitas!! DELISH!!!!!! And my daughter had the corn tortillas with steak. She didn’t trust the corn tortillas (due to them not indicating GF on the menu), however she did eat the steak and did not get sick.
I loved the food, the atmosphere and the service!! Everything was so flavourful. Would definitely go back if I didn’t live in Canada! 🙂

One of Erie’s best Mexican restaurants. The food was very good. Complimentary chips and salsa. Service was good but seating was kind of slow, but nothing to far out of the ordinary. The restaurant itself was very clean. Good social distancing practices are in place. All the servers wearing masks properly. No noses slipping out as seems to be common place at other restaurants. Definitely a place to eat at again.
